Aha finally success thanks totally to you! Your video is amazing to say the least. I now not only can crochet an oval but I can do it in 2 different ways. You are super! Again thank you eversomuch!

    Thank you. It really is the BEST tutorial I've seen for ovals... and thank you for adding the extra row information. You do a fabulous job of explaining everything. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more.

    This was delightfully helpful! I want to freehand a bag with an oval bottom, for my yarn, but was having a bit of trouble figuring the oval part out. It was a relief to see one of my favourite crocheters had a tutorial for exactly that! Someday, i hope to do amigurumi designs (i do only jellyfish, right now), but for now -- this is the exact help i needed for my non-amigurumi project.
    Those ovals, as a random aside, look like adorable little doll-sized rugs, and i just really adore that.
    Thank you so much for this video! I'll definitely be giving this another watch, if not multiple watches, in the very near future.

      I second your comment - I want an oval for exactly the same reason, a bag base! Hope your bag turned out great 😊 Fantastic video, much appreciated 🙏🏼

      @@antheaprince415 I was actually quite tired of looking at it by the time I finished, but I gave it to someone who thinks it's great and uses it a lot, so really it was a success all around (because I enjoy giving gifts).
      I hope your bag turns out well, too. But, hopefully, without being tired of it by the time you weave in that last end. XD

    Only I need to use a thread....
    I like to make sure I leave an extra long tail and work over it on both sides when im working a chain like that.... the tail can also be left longer to use to anchor the center when using the piece to sew onto something...

    The first oval is really interesting, I've only ever heard of using a starting chain for ovals! I think I really like this though, I'll definitely have to experiment.

    Can you use this for double crochet as well?

    • @SkeinSpider
      @SkeinSpider  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In theory, yes. I haven't personally used double crochet to make an oval but I have used it for both circles and rectangles and they turned out okay.
