    Being the eldest in my family I didn't have anyone to ask about how these things worked. Thanks a lot , this really helped.

    Ah! So TBH this video was quite challenging for me to create. It was difficult because I didn't want to get too in-depth (discussing the mathematical models that I definitely would not claim myself an expert of), but I wanted to be able to give you enough beyond just skimming the surface. As a result, I'm sure you'll still have lingering questions, or potentially see some missing gaps in what I've said. I hope I've been able to at least give you a clearer understanding of SACs and how they affect your overall study score. My aim at the end of the day is for students to spend their time focused on what's actually going to move the dial - your own study, rather than comparisons and excessive time on ATAR calculators. Feel free to have an open discussion about this topic in the comments below!

    If you’re a high achieving student in a crappy school, it’s guaranteed you’re getting scaled down and vice versa. Moral of the story is, the education system favours high SES students that pay for the top grammar schools. I don’t understand how this is fair. Is everyone just blind or just doesn’t want to fix this because of self-interest?

      Incorrect.Your sac score will get scaled down if you have easy sacs and vice versa for hard sacs. What's unfair about that?

      Did you completely just ignore this second half of this video, or are you just willing to continue asserting mistruths about a system that VCAA have developed over many years?

      Yes if you do well and get good exam marks your cohort won’t drag you down

    if your cohort does bad in a certain subject because there are few people doing it and you get excel in that subject, will your study score ultimately go down because everyone else isn't doing as good? xx great video btw!!

      Mary Apostolos no if you’re rank one and you do well in the exam you won’t be affected by your cohort

    when do the teahcers submit the rankings for unit 3 and 4, do they submit it after semester 1 for unit 3 or do they submit both at the end of the year?

    i was just wondering if the sac ranking is against your class or your whole cohort that is taking the same class

    ahh what happens if your sac ranking was unfair because of teacher bias? will the final exam correct that or no?

    can someone tell me how many sacs do we have per year?

    • @Terryceedee
      @Terryceedee 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      depends on the subject

      Some subjects have 2 SACS per unit, so 4 SACS a year plus your end of year exam, others have 3 and some even have 4.

    So will the sac mark change after the exam ?

    • @vcestudyguidesonline
      @vcestudyguidesonline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, thanks for your comment! Yes, your SAC marks can be adjusted based on how you perform in your exam. However, you won't see the adjustment if it is made - it'll just be factored in to your study score calculations. Hope this answers your question! :)
