- Please Subscribe :) Hello Friends, Welcome to Blossom"s Gardening Tips, my name is Eric Botelho. This simple video shows how to break the brick bat and use the brick powder in potting soil mixture. When we use garden soil as a potting soil, it does not drain the water easily. Because its usually not loose. To make it loose we can use compost, coco-peat or cheapest and simple method is to use brick powder., as it does not hold water and drain the water from the pot immediately. So there is no root rotting. Brick powder is not water soluble and has no nutrition in it also it is not harmful for the plants. Along with the brick powder you can use coco-peat or compost or dries 2 years old cow dung. The proportion must be 60% garden soil, 30% coco-peat/brick powder and 10 percent cow dung/compost. You can even use 20-30% compost, as it is not harmful for the plant.

Have u used it? Did plants grow?
Hi sir ...does it contain any nutrition value like akadama or lava rocks?
Not really
İs this the red brick we use at the time of house construction?
Yes, it is.
What is the benefit of using it?
It stops root rot 😊
Can we use this brick powder as a substitute for cocopeat?
It depends. If your plant needs a well drained soil then yes you can. But if it's needs lots of moisture then using more of cocopeat than soil or brick will be better.
Have you tried propagation in only bricks soil?
The brick soil is not very rich in organic matter so it will not be the best medium to grow plants in.
@@cmchomesgoa i am trying propagation in bricks soil now. I will update you if good results. Thank you
Will there be a risk of fungal growth if we add brick powder in soil?
Not more than any other potting agent :)
Hii sir
