This video was great. I have a raised garden bed and the soil has been in there so long that it is really compacted. Your video was very instructive and now I have some ideas on how to make the soil more loose rather than replacing the whole lot of soil with new soil. Thanks for this great video.

Hi sir! Can you help me by answering my two queries:
    1. Can I add cocopeat or/and perlite with above clay+sand+compost mix?
2.Instead of vermicompost can I add organic manure(because it is easily available)?
I will mainly use this mix for my indoor plant.
Thank you in advance! Your videos are simple and really easy to understand.

      Dear sir,
Please do not use cocopeat Or perlite with clay soil because it will make it more soggy.
Also we can use organic manure.
      Thank you

This really a good idea which I liked However, in my terrace garden I never use soil or sand to keep the weight of the pot very light which can be lifted by a school child. I have been getting excellent results with a combination of cocopeat, home made compost sterlized bonemeal home made mustard cake powder and Zyme crystals of varying percentage depending upon requirement of plants. Thanks for the video love and regards👍🙏

I am not sure but I think the nursery plant is grown in optimum condition soil. But since clay hold water for long and retain the structural form for long they are easy to do packaging , transportation etc. Also it's like keeping a flower in a water pot. It is only to keep the plant wet and moisted for some time.

Adding materials such as organic compost, pine bark, composted leaves and gypsum to heavy clay can improve its structure and help eliminate drainage and compaction problems. Avoid adding sand or peat moss to clay; they can make those problems worse.

    • @organicgardening

      Dear@@sakshibansal9539ma'am,
Thank you for your kind comment and query.
Ma'am, we can use it as there are many benefits to use coco peat.
If your area soil is sandy and quick drainage then it will help to retain moisture. For indoor plants we can skip soil and use coco peat also it us light weight.
For mixing proportion - As per our observation, we can use coco peat about 30℅ to 40 ℅ of total soil mix.
If we use more then the plant not get proper support and get band towards downside.

      Dear sir,
Thank you for your kind query.
Sir, if pant is already in clay soil then please keep it in it at least for 10 to 15 days and after this we can repot it in new soil.
Please maintain less watering and only water if soil become dry.
      Thank you

Can we also add the same quantity of coco-peat to the mixture?

Please do not add cocopeat with clay soil as it will make it more soggy and it will not drain water.
      Thank you
