I love your style of videos. I’m new to fishing and so many other channels talk about the same stuff as you, but hold stuff so far from the camera it’s hard to tell what it is. Please continue to do that for visual learners like myself. I believe you even threw in an animation in one of your previous videos that was also very helpful. I choose your channel over everyone else’s that I follow.
Heck yeah we enjoy the videos!!! Been checking every day for new ones. Had a time yesterday evening on a point with crankbait and that retrieve of yours. And we saw a bass trying to get the bait out of the other’s mouth!!! I have never seen that in person. Love the show thanks
Another great informative video, thank you for taking the time to make these. I would love "back to the basics" video series. I think sometime we, as anglers, forget the basics and overthink fishing. When it's all said and done, were here to enjoy the outdoors and cherish each day. I think back to the basics would be very refreshing. Thank you sir, and where do I send this dang hat of yours?
Man I am digging this series. This is great info that can be helpful from a beginner to some seasoned anglers. I'd definitely like to see more of these! Incredibly helpful information!
I would love to see a video from you explaining what bass do from season to season to truly understand their behavior and why they do what they do. I’m new to fishing and my knowledge of bass is very limited. I’m trying to understand this breed so I can catch more of them. I love your video style.
Thank you once again for sharing with us, I must say that I do catch more fish on a flat sided crank bait in a sexy shad color here in Florida especially now when the water is in the high 60's low 70's. I love your drag type retrieve and I am going to try it tomorrow on some suspending fish I found last 2 weeks. I have been catching them on a crank bait and Alabama rig with blue gill 3" swim baits. I would love to see some of your technics on jerking a minnow if you could. Thank you again your friend and fan Joe Mallozzi.
Awesome video. Talking about basics i would love to see a late winter early spring video on grand lake about bait color choices such as red craw vs brown craw or bluegill and shad colors. Keep up the hard work. 👍
E!! You got to get bass pro to bring that last series cranking stick back!! I really love that rod!! I broke the tip on mine like many did, but I staffed it on a tackle bag and didn’t realize it. I lost 6 inches on it but added an eye and still use it. I’m using it for lipless bait use to throw chatterbaits with it. But, it’s well you know how great it it. Lest get it back! The new ones good too ( black blue) but heavier.
Great video! I have been using these for about 2 years now and have not been let down on texoma! I have also had luck with hair jigs and slow rolling a swimbait on the bottom but Crankin is one of my favorite techniques! Keep pumping these videos out E, we love to see them at SOSU!
Keep it coming Edwin‼️I haven’t quite figured out how to get a consistent jig bite. I have caught a few here and there but lack the skill and confidence for consistency. Jig video please.
Love this video!!! Always wanted to hear about the flat sided crank bait. Thanks man, u r always teaching me to be better and more productive on my weekend trips. Thanks again Edwin.
Great video E , awesome information on cold water cranking. More information on fishing really heavily pressured fish from boat traffic to fishing pressure. That would be awesome. Thanks .
Very good video. Have been catching them on a 1.5 strike king flat side. Broke the bill off it (hit trolling motor on cast). Couldn’t buy a bite on other cranks. I’ll have to check out the frittes. Thanks for sharing!
Great info as always. Just one thing though, I know you said you didn't particularly like to throw them around laydowns but years ago right after the original #5 shad rap came out 2 older cousins showed me that they were really good for catching big fish off laydowns in the middle of winter as long as there was a good little drop in depth within 8 or 10 feet of the bank. In southeast Alabama it can be as little as 5 or 6 feet. Saw them catch a bunch one morning at a public county lake with the best 6 weighing 36 Lb. It was like 44 degrees in December and like you said, they were just gently pulling a shad color through the wood. Sure made a believer out of me. I just wish rapala still made those baits. Anyway thanks again, it is just so nice of you to take the time to help all us wanna bes elevate our game a little bit
That was a beautiful bass!!! I'm not that good with crankbaits but the more I practice with them the better I hope to get. As usual another awesome video. Thanks again.
Loved this video as I love to fish crankbaits. It's my favor way to fish. Please do one on fishing jigs in cold water and as always still looking for a video on fishing Lake Seminole. Hope you at a wonderful Thanksgiving. Love you E.
Edwin, I like this project e video. I was lucky to find a big retail store clearing out their frittside crankbaits. I will tie one on and see if I can catch a few. How do you remember what line size you have put on your reels? 🎣🐟🙏
What a fantastic video! So much info. Loved it. I pummel ‘em on sides of rocky or gravel points throwing parallel to the bank. I use a spinning outfit for the smaller baits like the Little John. Were you throwing to the outside of the shade line intentionally or was that just a coincidence while you were targeting a particular depth? Thanks again Edwin for a terrific video and an awesome channel.
Thanks Edwin great video packed with all kinds of gold nuggets keep up the great work. Whether it is spring or late fall I would guess the key is water temp. You we're talking spring but I would assume this technique holds true in late fall .thanks again Edwin
Another great video Edwin! I am curious if you ever throw Rapala Shad raps like #5 or #7 sizes on spinning rods? I find this tight wobble and small size really gets bites down into the low 40’s water temps in Kentucky. I use similar retrieve techniques using my rod to really slow down the crankbait with the spinning rod and reel combination too.
I’d love to see a video on fishing a man made deep lake without much cover or shallow bank at all. It’s full of lay downs though! North Georgia/South Carolina area in mountains. Multiple species forage, including Blueback Herring, & Walleye. I’ve always fished shallow & cover or shallow structure. Any tips or advice would be welcome & appreciated.
Great information for me heading into the weekend tournament at lake Havasu. Super clear water! Had not given the Fritz side a shot for that tournament but I am now. The next one I would like to see would be medium size jerkbaits. For example the ones in the 200 sizes of the strike king jerkbaits.
Great information Edwin. Would you consider a video on balsa baits like shad raps. I m not sure if it’s a sponsor issue but would really like to know your thoughts. It’s time to start researching about techniques for 2022 cold water season. Thx
That’s awesome man. I had a LM bass eat all three hooks on a jerk bait last week. Whole bait was in his mouth. Absolutely amazed it survived after having that many hooks in it. Do you use snaps on any crank baits? I like to use them on my square bills and jerk baits.
Awesome video!!!👊🏻 Thanks for sharing those great tips. Just starting to use those flat sided crankbaits. How about something on the Neko Rig?? Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
great video I enjoyed every minute of it. I also just ordered 7 Sixth flat Sense crankbait. I was wondering would it be okay if I come try them out on your lake pond ? I have no where to fish at this time I'm from Milwaukee Wisconsin and everything is pretty much Frozen and it's cold cold cold cold cold? well not that call but it is called .
Thanks Edwin, great tips. Haven't really fished the flat side baits much, will start trying them again. Also would like to see a jerk bait video. God Bless.
I find casting into the wind with a flat sided lure, the wind will catch and move the bait (Like a Frisbee). Makes it difficult to cast near stuff and not get stuck. Any suggestions on casting flat sided lure?
2 Berkeley frittside square bill that are by far better than any crank baits I’ve ever used especially the colors. Ima keep that on the hush though(hint:red crest )
Thanks for watching everyone! What would YOU like to see more of in this “Back to the Basics” series?? Let me know! 👇
Cold weather basics and spinner bait / chatter bait!
I would love to see you do a kayak fishing video!
Cold water jig fishing.
Teaching kids to throw a baitcaster.
Basic color selection for water clarity and temp.
I learn so much from these videos, especially the reel pull technique, they crush it that way.👊
If the rest of back to basics is as good as this one , it's gonna be fantastic!!! Can't wait!
Wow this is a tip filled video here, I love the red mouth red bait tip… this is why I love your channel! Thanks Edwin.
Of Course, Thanks for Watching John!
I love your style of videos. I’m new to fishing and so many other channels talk about the same stuff as you, but hold stuff so far from the camera it’s hard to tell what it is. So the wife is asking if you are going to do another Christmas present video? Just saying that might help my Christmas. Thanks
Thanks for another informative video. Your attention to details and willingness to share them helps make us all better fishermen.
I just love all your shows, everything is so helpful and really like how you break everything down just love following you, thank you
Great video. I still love pond fishing. Happy birthday, Edwin! Hope it was a great day!

Great video. I've been out of fishing for several years. These really help a guy get caught back up!
Can't wait to watch this whole series.
Great technique Edwin, fishing a pond though is a guaranteed catch.
Great video Edwin. I got a 6.49 on a left-side a few days ago in a pond where I thought 3lbs were the biggest fish.
Man I am digging this series. This is great info that can be helpful from a beginner to some seasoned anglers. I'd definitely like to see more of these! Incredibly helpful information!
Thanks for Watching !
I would love to see a video from you explaining what bass do from season to season to truly understand their behavior and why they do what they do. I’m new to fishing and my knowledge of bass is very limited. I’m trying to understand this breed so I can catch more of them. I love your video style.
Man this is awesome can’t wait for the basic series love it
Awesome video Edwin! So many great tips. Love the videos, Keep up the great work!
Usually throw a trap when I want a flat sided crankbait but after your info I'm investing in some fritsides. Thanks again for another great video!!
Thanks for the informative video, I like that kind, on the water....

Great info Double E. I’m definitely going to be looking out for those red lips to throw those red baits!!

Thanks for Watching Brayden!
Keep it coming Edwin‼️I haven’t quite figured out how to get a consistent jig bite. I have caught a few here and there but lack the skill and confidence for consistency. Jig video please.
Great video and in-depth insightful tips. Can’t wait to try the red bait when bass have red on their lips.
Thank you again for all the help!

Thanks .
My favorite lure the old flat side fritside deep in blue back color for spots
Very good video. Have been catching them on a 1.5 strike king flat side. Broke the bill off it (hit trolling motor on cast). Couldn’t buy a bite on other cranks. I’ll have to check out the frittes. Thanks for sharing!

What an awesome breakdown of a simple technique.

Im really new to this but really like the idea of flat side cranking here in east tn thanks alot cant wait for the bell be safe
Happy Birthday E2!
It would be sweet to see a video coverings everything about a ned rig. Its a bait that ive struggled with a lot
Killer info about cold water cranking.
I'd like to see more information on active target or the garmin?
Love these tips....HBD Double E

This is an excellent and very helpful video.
I'm Glad! Thanks for Watching!
Thank you for the videos brother they really give me confidence to go out and fish this time of year!🙏
Glad you like them Steven!
Looks like a private pond on a big spread out in TX or OK
Great information for me heading into the weekend tournament at lake Havasu. Super clear water! Had not given the Fritz side a shot for that tournament but I am now. The next one I would like to see would be medium size jerkbaits. For example the ones in the 200 sizes of the strike king jerkbaits.
Cranks catch in the cold too?! Heck yeah, and I never knew to throw red when their mouth is red... You can't beat this intel!
Great information Edwin. Would you consider a video on balsa baits like shad raps. I m not sure if it’s a sponsor issue but would really like to know your thoughts. It’s time to start researching about techniques for 2022 cold water season. Thx
Great video. How about the old faithful worm or lizard rig
That’s awesome man. I had a LM bass eat all three hooks on a jerk bait last week. Whole bait was in his mouth. Absolutely amazed it survived after having that many hooks in it. Do you use snaps on any crank baits? I like to use them on my square bills and jerk baits.
I would like to see what kind of baits you would use on the head turner shaky head jig fishing deep water lakes like Douglas or Cherokee
Edwin please do a video on fishing deep standing timber in 40-60 ft.
For Spots in clear reservoirs like Lanier and Hartwell
Great tips brother thanks
Awesome video!!!👊🏻 Thanks for sharing those great tips. Just starting to use those flat sided crankbaits. How about something on the Neko Rig?? Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
can you do a pond fishing video in december with water temp around 33-40 degrees . loved the video
Bring on the CRANK!
Yes!! 💪💪
great video I enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you for the informative video sir!
Happy birthday brother.
Good info i used to just cast it a retrive slow or fast slow pause etc...
I got the same rod i love it best crankbait pole for the money
Thanks Edwin, great tips. Haven't really fished the flat side baits much, will start trying them again. Also would like to see a jerk bait video. God Bless.
I miss pond fishing haven't hit a pond in over 30 years
Thank you for showing me how to slow down it was cool I appreciate that
How about some basics on flipping and pitching jigs, trailers, set-ups,etc…?
Is this the pond you built on your property?
I find casting into the wind with a flat sided lure, the wind will catch and move the bait (Like a Frisbee). Makes it difficult to cast near stuff and not get stuck. Any suggestions on casting flat sided lure?
How do you hold the fish so that it doesn’t jump everywhere when getting the hooks out?
What brand do you throw? Can not seem to find any
Honey shad put a lot of bass in my boat even back in the summer
I would really like to see you do something with a football jig or swinghead. Most of your videos are moving baits and I don't see much on jigs.
"back to the basics: jerkbaits" is my request, that's my favorite bait and it would be a good opportunity for you to showcase the stunna
What if the water is 32-40 degrees?
Snap jigs, E?
Would love to see your take on jerkbaits! I specially liked you fishing the crankbait on a pond, from the shore.
I’ve become a fan of the Berkley Frittside
2 Berkeley frittside square bill that are by far better than any crank baits I’ve ever used especially the colors. Ima keep that on the hush though(hint:red crest )
I think doing this show in a pond was awesome, lets guys know you don't always have to be Hi Tech!
Absolutely. Thanks for watching!
Colors how important
Plus it helps me out on my channel as well.
Have had a lot of luck on slight jigging right after the pause, almost like a very subtle jerkbait on flatsided cranks
How about jerkbaits. That time of year I would think.
