It is an inspiration for ALL especially our African sisters both on the continent and the diaspora. We don’t share this kind of stories more, it is always playing sports, singing or acting. We need to engage In areas that enhances our lives as a people and also life changing.

This is often used as a defence in legal cases eg. when they knife their husbands or crash the car. Therefore, I see no reason why female pilots would be safe to fly at certain times each month. Or perhaps they have special contracts that allow them to work just 3 weeks at a time? They must cost the airlines millions.

The last time I flew on a place from phx to oak I waited to get off last because I didn't want to be in the crowd rushing to get off as I stood up to get my bag from the overhead I saw this young black woman/pilot walking from the cockpit I FROZE! I asked the stewardess is she one of the pilots she answered "she is the only pilot" I started crying because I never imagined a black woman flying a plane. The pilot walked up to me gave me a hug and told me her story she was a pilot in the navy and she said believe it or not most black people are both shocked and pround when they see her and that was in 1996...so black women have been flying planes for a long time💃🙏
