Richard Durrant plays Bach on a ukulele in The Italian Chapel, Orkney

On June 1st 2022 musician Richard Durrant came to Orkney’s Italian Chapel to play Bach on his ukulele. The chapel was built by Italian POW’s during the Second World War and is a much loved and cherished landmark in Orkney. Richard is introduced by John Muir from the chapel preservation committee.

July 2023 Saw your concert last night in Shoreham. Great musicianship as we expected, but I strongly suggest you put your political baggage in a box. You are not alone in having political views, and I pay for music and thats all. I shall not be going again. I dont want to live in a world where everything is politicised and divisive. Music should be making bridges not barriers.
