    Having to play at twice the speed to get a an octave effect at the correct tempo is really unnecessary, why not just include a pitch shifter? i understand that the octave effect is a consequence of halving the tempo but it breaks the 1/2 speed feature for anything other than bass lines..
    i would much rather there be an octave drop setting as opposed to having to work around the half speed setting by playing twice as fast to create a bass line.
    what would the purpose be of a half speed setting anyway if it didn't affect the pitch and cant be done in real time?

    • @BwanaTube
      @BwanaTube 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I tend to use it to speed up lines by recording at the "half" speed, and as just a general "change-up" pitch. But I don't tend to use loopers for normal one-man-band song structure applications. The half-speed and reverse function the same way they have for years on the Line 6 DL4.

    • @asig000
      @asig000 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it has to do with the sample rate. loopers sample digitally and simply half the sample rate to get that speed.

    • @umanitanova5769
