    The early season is insane. It’s allot of fun watching you guys rock the surf and help each other out. Killer video guys, great idea to add the aji pepper paste to an already great ceviche recipe. 😃🤙🏼🍺

    You mention replacing the treble hooks on your lures. I am looking for a suggestion related to size (2/0- 1/0 ?), 4X strength (?), and a maker? I appreciate your time, expertise (which I can poach off of), and willingness to help us all improve as fisherman. Fishing WA with Cali vibes.......

      Definitely not too big! Haha we’ve even caught smaller guys on it but the ones you really want will inhale a size 4. Don’t forget to leave out the middle hook :)

    kinda curious on why u hide certain stuff like gear,places u fish at, etc... although you teach everyone how to fish and how to read tides ?

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a bunch of reasons we don’t share exact locations. Mainly to keep a crowd from showing up. People then get mad for posting “their spots” and blame the channel 🤷🏻‍♂️ people also get mad when you don’t share spots. Haha better to just not include specific areas. We do share gear though. Spots are the only thing really we don’t share. What gear are you curious about that we don’t share?

    Greetings Ed .. first off plenty thanks for the code ..I bought the sardine and the nuclear pink .. tried to buy a similar set up combo like yours as well .. it was a combo on Craigslist .. it’s a 9’ Phoenix trifecta ..would it work for tossing the Calissa ? Or is it too short ? It’s combo with a Shimano Stradic ci4+ 4000 .. I know the reel would work on perch but would it be ok for stripers ? I appreciate you guys .. Respect !

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’ll work but 10-10 1/2 seems to be the sweet spot. I started with an 8.5ft rod for a year. It just depends on the lure rating. How heavy is it rated?

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And yes a 4000 ci4 is solid for striper

    • @jasenalapati665
      @jasenalapati665 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Line rating -10-30
      Lure weight - 1-6oz
      Taper action -mod. fast

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea that’s a little stiff being the calissa is 5/8 of an ounce. Salmon steelhead rods are ideal. If you want a good starter, look up the okuma celilo on amazon amzn.to/2GXkGs5
