Just turned 57 was there in 1988/89 (and with the jazz-funk and electro from 1982 onwards till house kicked off) right from the beginning soon after Spectrum took off but because of personal reasons (substance misuse ones unfortunately) I missed out on the hardcore rave era but still listened on the London pirates and Kiss and kept up with things . But once I got off the bad stuff I came back out of retirement for the golden trance era 1996-2000 and have just started attending the big reunion all-dayers that are popping up everywhere celebrating different clubs from 1987-2000.
Went to a rave in Hull, came out of the loo and looked up ... live on stage, danced my ass off lol lol Happy memories, 54 now but still love this. Dont think my body would let me do what i did back then 😂❤

A fantastic tune aswell. Bizzare Inc had a huge impact on the scene but if you're saying nothing should be reworked and remixed the entire dance/rave music scene would be musically emptied out 🤷♀️
I wasnt around back in the 90s (well i was a kid), but you hear this tune being blasted these days alongside most new rave tracks & genres like Hardstyle & Nu-Style Gabber, UK Hardcore etc. The Old School rave/Hardcore just beats todays shit by miles really.. I WAS BORN 20 YEARS TO LATE :(!
As a raver since 1993 I can attest that there is tons of great dance music out there today, it's just different than what we had back in the day. It's ok to like both. You're missing out on a LOT of good music if you only listen to the old stuff. I still go out 2/3 times a month. Great tunes out there!
I have to say, I appreciate both your comments. There are some decent tunes still being produced if you know where to go to listen to them but given the choice, the 90 era will always be my number one choice when I have one. My DJ sets are 89 to 95. I don't play out anything other that these years.
