  • In this, the third and final episode in his series on the health benefits of baobab, Gus (the African Plant Hunter) dons an uncharacteristically colourful shirt to talk us through the vitamins and minerals that make this fruit such a remarkable, immune-boosting powerhouse.
In addition to his plant-hunting activities, Gus also runs a baobab-producing business in Zimbabwe (www.bayoba.biz), and is the current Chair of the African Baobab Alliance (www.africanbaobaballiance.org).

I absolutely love Baobab. I've recently started doing my own research on Africa's Best foods so I can also inform others as a nutrition professional. This video has been informative. Many thanks

Tastes amazing in mealie meal porridge or oats! Mix with yogurt or milk and freeze in ice-cream molds to make a healthy treat for your kids. Add honey instead of sugar.

funny am watching this eating baobab fruit. AM here in zimbabwe and during this covid I bought 20 kg bucketfull of baobab seeds and powder. when I drink water I add the seeds and powder and shake then drink. Been doing that for months now. Also its very cheap in our country and most people dont like the fruit and it isnt in demand. Imagine the 20kg buckeftull I bought it for a mere less than 3 USD. Thanks for this mate.

Yeah, funny that. Doesn't have to be expensive to be good for you! It's a cliché, but many of the best things don't cost much at all, if anything!

I’m concerned this will keep me awake at night. I’ve heard this can happen. I eat OMAD at around 6-7 pm. If I have to take it with food I don’t have much choice then to take it at that time. It concerns me. Has anyone had that issue with sleeplessness?

Good question. Try Holland and Barrett for the powder. If you want a drink with baobab in it, Innocent smoothies have a couple. And they source their baobab from me, which is kind of cool!
