- Quick overview of initial trimming of the fiberglass top, what it looks like, tools I used, what's involved, etc. Please forgive the beard full of fiberglass dust and the sooo many "umms" I seem to vocalize :)
This makes me happy! Very glad it wasn’t as hard as you thought. Helps take some of the negative stigma away from it for those of us that have yet to tackle fiberglass.
Yeah, honestly it was not bad. Very dusty, and you definitely need two people to fit it, but otherwise it was pretty low stress :)
Good to hear the fiberglass work is going well. Nice to see the tools you use for the job. 👍🏽👍🏽
It was surprisingly less work than I expected. I'm hoping the doors are equally easy ;)
Guil, enjoy your work! My son and I are building a 10 as well. We’re currently pulling wires and installing avionics. If you’re ever in the Omaha area plase look us up, we love to swap stories. Bob / Ben
Will do! You guys coming to AirVenture?

Yes, we will be in Oshkosh Monday and Tuesday. Hope to meet you there.
Guil, thank you. As always, great info for anyone following. Hope to do the same in about 2 weeks
Looking great!
How dose it get it's final attachment to the fuse??? Rivets ? Fiberglass? Hight pressure duct tape haha?? Looking good sofar
I believe it gets screw holes drilled into it and then into the fuselage. That's coming up next but I want to spray my interior color first and that unfortunately has been delayed :(
are you going with Cee Bailey's windows?
Yes. Waiting to hear back from them actually :)
