I love the vibes of this apartment it's the most stylish studio apartment ever also I find it funny that there's so much storage space because in reality there's never any storage space in studios (at least where I live) the column in the middle of the room reminds me of how many apartments where I live have columns in the most random spot usually blocking a window which annoys me so much but I think it works in this build it makes it look like a space that's been renovated into a studio your eye for design never fails to amaze me 💛💛
yeah that's why i made sure to put so much storage space!! i've lived in small apartments for most of my life and this amount of cabinets is my dream, hahaha. so happy you liked it tami!!
I never though I would find another builder that I enjoy watching build, that is on the same level as Harrie. But here you are! I found your youtube cannel a couple of days ago and have been binge watching your builds since. You make the most amazing creations. Thank you!
that column in the middle is cool to see how people could make use of it .. like i could easily imagine hanging a tv on it that could rotate between the living and the dining
I completely agree; the column feels right in that spot. Maybe that is because it kind of completes the set of shiny slim cylindric shapes started by the radiators and the lamp in the corner by taking the lead. It also suggests that the apartment has a history as something else, possibly an industrial building of some kind, which is supported by the sloppily painted brick and the very high ceilings, breathing more life into the place. In addition, it creates a hint of a visual division between the kitchen/dining space and the living space in the studio. (I never thought I'd ever comment so much on just on one column, but it is definitely you who brought it up! 😂) I have to say though that a boldly coloured sofa would be just the accent needed here. Although I'm usually unequivocally impressed and inspired by your design choices, I think the salmon-coloured boxy sofa left me craving a statement piece instead. It feels like too much of a safe choice, while at the same time strangely not quite fitting in there. Before you placed that beautiful armchair, I was envisioning a sofa of a similar shape and style to that armchair, but in pink or red or a poppy blue. For the bed, I would've chosen some black and white abstract pattern (if you have anything like this), but the artwork you chose to put above the bed satisfied my need for a bigger surface playing with simple shapes and contrast instead. As you can see, you can even inspire people to philosophise about columns, and that's how you can tell you're a true artist. You could probably put a dirty cup in the middle of an otherwise empty white room and still have it be considered art. 😆 I'd definitely speculate about its meaning!
if that inspired more of your lovely comments, i'd get that dirty cup right now! i gotta say that i thought the same way about the sofa, but when i tried out the bright orange swatch, it really didn't feel & look right. it might have been the orange tone that made it feel like an industrial cliché to me, but no other swatch worked as i definitely wanted to keep it warm. the bright swatches in the berlin set are veeeery bright and i felt screamed at, hahaha. and although i'm happy with the color it is now, there might very well be a better option! also YES to the bed, i'm really hoping that the bed that comes with harluxe next month has some more daring swatches! as always, lots of love to you and thank you for your column analysis hahaha

I definitely believe that you've chosen what fit best, even if it didn't completely realise your vision. That is the sad part about furnishing: You can only work with what you have. Luckily, it can be a fun challenge, too! 😁 I also don't think bright orange would've been the way to go here. What might not be obvious to all is that especially accents need to be in just the right tone and brightness, since they are there not to disturb the balance, really, but to complete the picture. They need to complement and contrast. I'm sorry that the experimental bright colour screamed at you. Rude.

Love The apartment! I'm not sure if you know that, but you can move Collums freely with the tool mod, since you were saying that it sucks that they can only be placed on the tiles. :)

i don't do commissions, but i have a list of requests that i let my patrons vote on every month - i've never been to a beauty salon, though, so i'd say i'm not the best person to build this!

I replaced windows in an apartment using tool and they appear to be in the right position but they don’t let in any natural light. Do you know what could be causing that?
remember to check "include custom content" in the advanced settings on the lefthand side of the gallery. EA hides builds with custom content by default. hope this helps xx
