That was a powerful comment for so many reasons. How I wish there were more men and women who can be looked at like that in this generation. He is a gem.
Props to Tyler Perry for naming all the buildings of his studio after acting icons! He's giving people jobs and everything! Also kudos to Eddie Murphy for reprising his many roles to Coming To America! And great job on working with blind children!! Thanks Lunell and Vlad for this!! Great interview!!
@Rudy Castillo him playing the role of Madea has allowed him to write, direct, and own his own studio outright. He is now looking at forming his own distribution company. He has no attachment to Hollywood. I won't knock the man for his accomplishments.
Much respect to John Amos for having the patience to deal with Luenell's intrusive interviewing style because it's irritating asf to listen to. When he asked her to "keep ya mouth shut for a minute" I'm sure he meant that sincerely.
Thank you, Lunelle. What a pleasure and Blessing to witness your friendship, hear of your uplifting personality and see the Real John Amos. A great man. I’ll be praying for the Best of The Best to befall Mr.Amos.
John Amos is a living Legend #facts.. If you know the culture foreal then you know this man. He is loved and truly is one of the untouchables of black cinema history.
@B T Saying shit like "you people" shows where your maturity levels are. You don't deserve a response from me really but ok ...how do you know I'm not a white man you jackass🙄🤣
@B T Now you can't speak on the black culture if you're white? What a idiot lol. No matter my race I only spoke facts about that man. You got in your lil feelings because i used the word black. Bro just shut up go have a coke and a smile.
Thank you for this interview set with John Amos. He was indeed a very inspirational character in my own childhood. It was a conflict the work he did through the 70's and 80's. So grateful for his perseverance in the roles he chose to take and the characters he brought to life as such.
Thank you for shutting her up for a dog on minute... Can't even give her a compliment without her running off at the mouth. Mouth Almighty tongue everlasting... That's a Robin Harris classic. Those who remember the 90s will know.
I had the pleasure of being part of that “The Last OG” episode with both of these wonderfully talented people and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in my 30 plus years of being an Actor. I learned so much just observing Mr. John Amos and I am forever grateful. Anyone interested please look out for the “THANKSGIVING” episode of “The Last OG”(season 3) and you will see what I mean. It was a Hugh Blessing. Thank you for sharing your Talent with us Mr. Amos. May God continue to Bless You!!!
Atomic Pressure is that all your small mind can thing to say, “I must be gay”??? It’s so sad how limited the thinking of so many of the so called “human beings” has become. I share a nice experience with you and all you can do is try to insult me. Very sad. No wonder the world is how it is, with small minded people like you in it, we are all in trouble.
Lol why do everybody say that about black women that interview ppl they said the same thing about Keisha Cole mabey I just be in to the actor their interviewing to notice
That was awesome Mr Amos has done some great work over the years and to bring up his working with the youth and the blind is very humbling to hear... Very, very good interview 👍👀
Excellent interview! It’s always fascinating to know the person versus the actor/actress and how life has treated them. Thank the interviewer as she was superb on content, demeanor and addressing her guest.
I absolutely love Mr. Amos & Luenell's interview. A man with such an accomplished history in black cinema and a living legend. Luenell is the perfect interviewer, kept the flow interesting. Hope she will be a regular (interviewer) as well.
Most of us grew up with the belief that Bill Cosby and the Cosby show was a representation of us, but in actuality, John Amos and Good Time was our true representation.
John may be "loved in the culture" but he's also loved OUTSIDE of the culture! I can attest to that! I used to watch Good Times as a kid with my father and recently bought the series and binge watching it as well as appreciate his other work and I love John Amos yet I'm as white as a ghost, you don't have to be black to appreciate many many black actors even though I just think of them as actors.
As a black man, Johns disposition just makes me want to do better. What a cool dude.

That was a powerful comment for so many reasons. How I wish there were more men and women who can be looked at like that in this generation. He is a gem.
yes! He's awesome!
@CRM LRD Chile, what is a disposition?
It's a blessing that this legend still walks among us. We are so fortunate to hear his story.
John Amos is a man with a lot of heart and compassion talking about the blind people he is so calm.
Luenelll's style of interviewing: Ask a question, THEN:
1. Answer it for you, OR
2. Interrupt you as you try to answer, OR
3. Do both
BigTone same as VLAD
Vlad would be so proud 💯
Vlad does give you a chance though. Lunnelle just won't stop talking. She talked more than John.
@BigTone Sounds Accurate
Luenell has the most IRRITATING voice of any interviewer AND talks more than the person being interviewed.
@07:05 LMAO!!! That is classic Amos talking right there: "shut up for a minute, Luenell"
😭😭😂😭😭😭😂
Amen!!

He said keep yo mouth shut for a moment because she was talkin too GOT DAMN much let the interviewee talk they talk
I grew up watching Mr. Amos in the 70's on Good Times. He is just one of those Cats that lends presence to everything he is in.
Much respect to John Amos for having the patience to deal with Luenell's intrusive interviewing style because it's irritating asf to listen to. When he asked her to "keep ya mouth shut for a minute" I'm sure he meant that sincerely.
Glad he shut her down..

It seems like he's been a pillar of strength since forever and always presented as a strong man of values, strength, culture, and presence. Awesome.

For an interviewer, she talked too much about herself. John had to politely asks her to be silent for a minute
She been doing that pretty much half the interview....
Lunell doing what she does best, running her dam mouth!
