- Nirbhay Nirgun is Anirudh Varma Collective's rendition and interpretation of the 15th century Kabir Bhajan, performed live on 7th January at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi at our recent production - Kahat Kabir. Originally composed by the legendary Pt. Kumar Gandharva, In Nirbhay Nirgun, Kabir describes the journey of a spiritual seeker, pointing out that getting over fear is the first step towards seeking the ultimate. “Nirbhay Nirgun Gun Re Gaunga,” he says, which means, “I will fearlessly sing the attributes of the one without attributes.”

Ligand singer Pandit Kumar Gandharv was unique. After listening you I realised that how difficult it's but Pandit ji sang it in such a way that public never realised that it was so difficult. You have played it wonderful although it is difficult to match with Pandit Kumar Gandharv ji.❤

It felt like you were autotuned, aastha, and-given this is live-I offer that as the highest of compliments. I eagerly await a studio version of this-with your band's general mastery of dynamics and orchestration, I can't even imagine how beautiful that would be.
Those little gaps in the antaras specially were so fun! if you would permit me a little suggestion, you could maybe do a call-response in the second or third antara (after setting up the expectation of the empty gaps) with the vocals and the flute-do four gaps where the flute 'responds' to the vocalist. I feel like that would sound really nice!
