Their faces with the Kenny Ackerman reveal lol. This 1st half of the season is weird to me because I always think of it as my least favorite AOT arc by far, but at the same time, there are a lot of iconic moments. It both feels like it drags on forever, and that it is really fast-paced at the same time. Or maybe that just speaks on how good the show is if my least favorite arc is this good and has me thinking about it constantly.

I understand how this could be your least favorite arc, but it's probably my fav other than the other arc this season. Funny how our minds are so different haha.
@@drewnelson8692 yeah! I guess it has to do with my expectations when I started this show lol. My favorite arc is the Female Titan arc. I started watching this show thinking it would be a horror anime, and the female Titan arc just has this sense of dread and she is like an inescapable and unstoppable force that's coming to get you. Plus her soundtrack theme? ICONIC and super scary. Back in 2013/2014 when the show only had 1 season out and titans in the manga where still a huge mistery and a new concept, this was a scary show to me lol. I kind of miss that sensation, but as a manga reader that already knows the ending, I am truly satisfied with the storytelling and I appreciate Isayama for being a great writer.
@@enriqueramos2426 Yeah, I feel the same, it's like fast and slow at the same time. Tho I also like S1 and 2 more because of titan's mystery, the main reason for this (S3 part1) being my least favorite arc is because of some clumsy/rushed scenes (in anime at least, not 100% sure about the manga, from what I've seen some things are better).
@@Jegfil yes in the manga it's a slower pace for this arc, and has multiple scenes not included here. Maybe that's another reason I have a weird relationship with this arc. Waiting month after month for a few pages of people talking in rooms when we were used to a faster pace, surely made the Manga feel like it dragged on. But re-reading it now it is way better. And on the tv show, it goes on faster, but the original drag feeling is still there lol
@@enriqueramos2426 Yeah I could see first time reading (and waiting) and just reading (through all) being quite different.
ps. Do you mean anime version in the last santance? Idk what exactly you mean for yourself, but for me it was like this: with ep. 1 and 2 I was like ok this is pretty fast paced, not exactly "titan mystery" driven like I'm used to, but ok, still interesting. Then episode 3 came out and yeah, pace was slower. What I realised is that if pacing is fast, it's still good even if theme doesn't interest me as much (as like S1 or S2). What I want in this case is that there are no other problems other than slower pacing, which there were, and that's why it's my lesst favorite. Tho, I don't think you have problems other than pacing and theme, so I will leave it at that. Unless you wanna know heh

Im curious how you guys manage to control and isolate ur emotions as you watch different animes. Like i tend to forget and at time drag my emotions from one series to another whenever i watch two or three at the same time.

Am I the only one who thinks Jean actually wasn’t testing them and fully intended to kill them both because he hesitated to kill a human before? His expression visibly changed when Marlo decided to trust Jean and throw the knife down and it snapped Jean out of it
Which makes me think that he wasn’t testing them because he looked legitimately shocked when Marlo chose to trust him
Jean was actually shocked because he saw how Marlo was so similar to him, when Marlo was caught and he said that "I picked the wrong regiment" jean saw himself in Marlo ( as jean was also gonna chose the military) and that's why he asked levi if "he can do this" (test him) and levi obviously trusts them so yes he did not actually intended on killing Marlo
Jean didn't even have a gun, you should watch the scene again it was fake. Proving he was only testing them
