- A day at the range shooting the CZ 455 Varmint thumbhole 22lr, using the scopes mil-dots to compensate for windage and elevation. Pretty strong winds made it hard to hit the small targets at this distance.
The setup:
Gun: CZ 455 Varmint Thumbhole 22lr on bipods.
Ammunition: Remington Subsonic HP 38gr 1050fps.
Scope: Hawke Sidewinder 30 1/2 Mil-dot 6-24x56 illuminated red/green.
Camera: Canon MV550i on tripods. - บันเทิง
I shoot silhouettes out to 200 meters with my stock CZ 455 American, Nikon 1-12x 40 BDC. Here in Oklahoma the wind is always blowing and it does make it difficult.
Congratulations, very attractive shooting !
Thanks for the comprehensive video.
thats incredible!!!!
Bravo!
Just bought the same gun! I'll be scoping it with a Hawke 8-32/56 Sidewinder.
Piknie Panie, piknie 👍
Wish I could get any 22, especially my accurate one to shoot Remingtons like that!
Obviously very good at doping the wind
Also have the same rifle, love it :Ð
good shooting
AryanBarbarian777: I believe that the thumbholestock is the best choice for pure rangeshooting or if you have the possibility to lay down at your hunts. I would rather choose the standard stock for hunting. The thumbholestock is also pretty small in it´s grip. So big hands might be a problem.
have the same rifle....good stuf !!!
Hey, I've been looking for a good bolt action 22(the 455 in particular) for varmint hunting. Does the thumbhole stock affect accuracy/handling enough to make a significant difference,or is it more of a comfort thing? Great shooting btw!
Nice video.
Which bullets do you use?
Jeremiah: Hi!
Many years ago I owned a Marlin 30-06 with a 3-9x40 scope. That was a light huntingrifle and I never shot it at longer range than 90 meters. I am also looking for a 308 for longrange shooting. I believe it´s a great choice because of the wide range of ammo and its trajectory. It´s recoil is also handleable without "beating you up".
According to the CZ website, you can buy it as a combo package for about $100-120 more than a .22 LR alone. You can also get a .22 WMR barrel, but not as a package.
what would be the problem in hunting with this model? Weight? because I would practice both hunting as rangeshooting. Thanks
bogoff99: I dont remember exactly how much holdover we did on those shots. 1,5-2 mildots at 10x power maybe. I will get a scopecammount and upload some videos with longrangeshooting with the same gun.
nice shoots , how much mil-dots have you compensate for elevation? , i ' m french sorry for mistake
It's ok, we forgive you for being french.
How are you satisfied with that scope on that rifle ?
Bravo complimenti bel tiro che ottica hai usato
how much height compensation are you making for this shot, ,& how many mil dots is that.
i just got my .22 so time for practice
Animatronic25: Yes, 200 meters.
fucking wind.... Nice shots on small targets! :)
I'm looking for a bolt action .22lr and this CZ looks pretty amazing!
Does the 455 come with the additional 17 hmr barrel?
2 mildots at 200 meters = 40cm holdover.... what distance u set the zero ?
Ok you win i lose....lol... i love CZ....
A scope zeroed, and the wind. Sight of view not complete zoom in with a 24. Go 20 21 more vision around the target. Shooting a 40 grain high velocity cci mini mag.
Aim a bit higher. Dear sir nice shooting.
