Don't get me wrong, CeVio did an incredible job with my queen's voice. It's just that the entire thing that makes Vocaloid special is to sound different compared to real singers. The unauthenticity and voice quality is what makes Voicebanks a perfect tile, for the picture that represent the beautiful musical art.
The only complaint I have for AI is how open her mouth sounds. It sounds like the front is always open, but then she clenched her throat and it's just strange to hear.
In my opinion as a Voice Synthesizer Fan and what I can hear here, I would say she sounds realistic and more natural in CeVIO, plus her design hits better with CeVIO voice. Like, In Vocaloid she doesn't sound like she looks, something that in CeVIO actually happen. Many Vocaloids have voices that doesn't fit with their design, such as Cyber Diva, Maika, and I would say Luka, literally Luka has a mature appearance but her voice is younger and cute for what she looks physically, and the same happens with IA in Vocaloid Engine. That's why I prefer listening to her in CeVIO AI

Yes Luka does have a higher voice but she does have a huskyness and mature tone that the V4x completely trashed.. they actually made her sound younger and it's just.. weird. While her V4x English is still very popular because it actually sounds like her original voicebank. (With how good English Synths are getting may need an update anyway) If you want to hear more mature Luka I recommend the cover of Hakumei by Haraao.. Luka V2 Also another reason you may find Luka to not be mature sounding is because she is usually used in alot of higher pitched songs, or her gender factor is turned way up. For a lovely example of this check out the cover of Nobore Susume by Teru This cover perfectly shows the higher tone she is used to having in alot of older songs and slowly brings her back down to her normal tone. I believe Crypton messed up her V4x's tone (in my eyes they did) because they were trying to emulate that higher tone that people were using... And ended up demolishing her lower register, which is what made her sound GOOD. now she still sounds good.. it's still Luka, she can do all sorts of cool things like growl, but the husky original tone of her voice is just gone. (Hahaha sorry. I'm done.)

I would seriously not count out some earlier more popular songs that make her sound more mature and have a better use of her range such as Double Lariat and Just Be Friends to name a few.
But maybe Gumi, her boyish look does not match her high, squeaky, in most cases, voice. And about IA, I think that her old design looks more unique, as does her voice. The new design is similar to Miku's clothes, IA has become stereotyped, she was made into a loli, like her new voice, it's sad

after using AI heres my personal opinion. IA AI and just cevio ai in general (minus kafu) sounds more human then any other software we've seen so far. But in trade off it suffers majorly in veritility. A lot of banks cant hit notes and you dont get nearly as much control over pitch. The engine itself is also a bit annoying to use. It doesn't read anything but CCS and maybe midi. You can use utaformatix to convert but it will have a weird sound. Said sound sounds like pitch snap in vocaloid. But when it works god damn does it work. Plus the talk AI is great Rikka espically. Unfortunantly IA AI doesn't really sound like the original IA at all but shes still great.

Still hate AI. The engine noise sounds awful, + it barely sounds like IA anymore. I said this when IA English came out and I will never stop saying it, CeVio's singing synthesis isn't very good.
Sounds like two completely different voicebanks, missing the husky charm the original voicebank had to her voice.
Hope when flower is released she still sounds close to herself.
if you increase the alpha on her then you can get a closer tone!

i definitely prefer her vocaloid version. her voice suits her better and sounds more memorable, i was never really a fan of cevio’s engine noise

Cevio sounds more realistic than vocaloid. IA really sounds like her character on Cevio. Overall love how Cevio sounds especially on other vocaloids
