Many will say powder coat. It is the toughest way to go. However, if you nic or scuff them it’s harder to touch it up. With paint, touch ups are easy. You just get the correctly colored rattle can and “Tssst Tsssst” and your done.
Are your carbs mikuni or keihin ? Also what size is your ultrasonic cleaner please if you could share with us where you get or the type of parts you are getting I am slowly redoing my 1980 Kawasaki 750 also..

They’re the stock ones for the KZ. I ended up going with a different the mikuni carb setup
