    No need to twist the throttle when starting a bike with an ECU and fuel-injection, it's likely you're preventing the bike from starting properly. On carburated bikes it is something you can do.

      According to various Internet forums, if your machine is dying after fulling warming up, and is unable to restart until fully cooled down, 9 times out of 10 it’s typically a faulty magneto. I certainly should have included that in the video. My apologies

      ​@parsonsproductions.5869 I can tell by the way it sounds at idle, and during acceleration. I've been riding and racing air-cooled Kaws since the late 70's. If that thing was tuned and running properly, you never would have been able to grab that big ol' handful of throttle on that sealed concrete the way you did. With those pod filters, rejetting is a must for anything resembling proper operation.

    I have a 2014 BRZ that started making a squealing noise from the throw out bearing area. It goes away when I push the clutch in, so I will be doing exactly what you have done here. Jacking it up this weekend. Having done the job, do you have any tips for me before I get started?

      Thanks for watching! Yes actually, if your rear main seal isn’t leaking. Don’t touch it. I didn’t need to replace mine and I did, and it leaks a few drips here and there. I would only recommend replacing it if it needs it

      We added spacers to the throttle needles in all 4 carburetors. Made a huge difference

      Not sure what clip you’re referring to. But all you need to do is twist the base off, and twist the new one on. Was much easier than I anticipated

    loved binging this bikes journey man! I just picked one up myself and getting it back up to street legal again. Almost complete however this one issue regarding the dashboard has been plaguing me. The lights/ leds that are i think soldered into the board aren't receiving power or their just out. Does the cluster automatically illuminate the speedo/tach areas when the bike is powered on?

      Awesome! Glad to see you have one too! Yes, it should be illuminated even when the key is turned on and the bike is not running. You might want to check your connections and make sure all the wires are intact and not broken or frayed anywhere

    If I recall correctly the fan on my SV1000 only ever came on if I was sitting stopped in traffic for a while. Even riding in residential areas the airflow was enough to keep it cool. I would assume the 650 is the same. It was also an 06.

    If I can recommend a header it would have be PLM UEL header iv been running it for 3 years with no issues and its defiantly one of the cheaper options on the market at 500$ Canadian or 360$ American. They are similar in design to the Borla header and sound really good has a nice deep subbie rumble. I have mine paired with an invidia over pipe, a high flow cat front pipe and a Greddy revolution RS catback.

    Hey dude, big time car guy, but first time car modder. Have always been a coward and left my cars stock except for getting under my wrx to put in a shifter bushing. Question: to your knowledge, will this be the same overall process to install on a 2nd gen brz? Also, would I need a tune after just installing the catback?

      Hello there, and welcome to the channel! On the second gen BRZ, it should be pretty much the same exact process. Typically you will not need a tune, if all you have is a cat-back exhaust. Once you start adding intakes, and turbos, etc… then you’ll most certainly need to run a tune

    Back in the day we used to call that "brand new reconditioned " 'cause if they've been done right they are new again. Those forks look sweet. Are they non-adjustable? My 2016 has full adjustability .

    Hey man great video. Just did my daughter's car last night. She's got the FRS. The only issue I had is now the side marker lights are not working The ones that are right at the corner of the fender and bumper. Did you have any issue with those? I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance

      Thanks partner! My side marker lights haven’t worked in a long time lol. Those lights are just a pain to deal with. They never fit in quite right for some reason
