Yeah that really worked out well for Algieri.
If it weren't for his fight with Pac, he'd have not known to stay down against Spence.

I was on holiday to Hong Kong at the time and you could get tickets for the Algieri/Pacquiao fight in Macau with the boat trip included for around $60. Needless to say I got my money's worth, six knockdowns. I like Algieri, but he looked like an amateur in that fight.

I felt sorry for Algieri when on the making of Pacquaio 24/7 , Manny had a chef on call for whatever he wanted . . poor old chris was just given the keys of the kitchen and told to make his own eggs in the middle of the night . . . and he thought he was getting special treatment by getting the keys of the kitchen . . . JESUS

Answer: Manny's power comes from his spring loaded calves. Flat footed guy like De La Jolla is the ideal punching bag for Manny.

Certainly never boxed at that level but I did box when I was younger and yeah it's a weird thing but it does seem that different guys have different types of power and it feels different when you get hit by them. I remember there was this kid I sparred once and he was heavy handed. I mean he was slow and nonexplosive but every time he touched you you could feel the strength in his punches. I remember being a much better technician and a lot fast both with my hands and feet that the power he possessed helped me to really focus on staying on the outside and to circle away from his right hand. By the end of the second or third I was able to time him up pretty well and was able to light him up. Catching him between his jab and the follow right hand, but early on I got caught with some nasty power when I tried to square my stance and allowed him to shorten the distance. I really had a good left hand and could control a fight with my jab and also punch for power with the left hook so that I liked to fight with good amount of weight on my front foot. Squaring up allowed me more opportunities to smack hard with my left hook but in this sparring session I was on my toes circling and fighting a more defensive fight than I would have normally have fought.
