- Wow what an epic learning curve and adventure. I am absolutely in love with the Twinset system. Huge redundancy and a really long time in the shallows to see, so much sea life. Thank you for joining us on our little exploration and it was my sons Jeremy's first time, warning some hand swimming:) Thank you all again and thx to my gear and fill nitrox support from www.diveaction.co.za for the Apeks setups. Still learning how to place that long hose!!!
Location WindMill Beach Cape Town
Gear Used
Twinsets 12 and 10 's and a small review
Tec 3 regulator and other
WTX BC D60 wing and WTX BC D40 wing - Both single bladder.
Apeks Delux HARNESS ON 12'S A MUST, SO COMFY OR YOU CAN GO BACK PLATE AND WEB STRAPS..LIKE MY 10 SETUP.
Open water 1 with some private twins training.
Wet suit: Apeks ThermiQ 8/7 with 5 mil inner Open cell smooth skin inner and shorty pant (+-13 mil neoprene) - does 120 minutes comfy at 9 -14 degree toasty warm. Gosh pee can be an issue I dread it. 12's Tall x 2 at my SAC rate at 4m to 12m max depth pumped to 240 bar nitrox 33% offers me +-200 minutes of diving if at shallow depths. Awesome. So a few dives without refilling. I never go more than 130 minutes in one dive.
My 10"s are less +-150 mins max
I am not running or carrying a high end light system yet, so all on the hand with a little china light :)
