Executive Chairman O. Bruton Smith being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame

Please join us in congratulating our Executive Chairman O. Bruton Smith on being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame! Mr. Smith began his illustrious career at an early age, purchasing his first race car at 17 and promoting his first stock-car race just a year later. He went on to create the National Stock Car Racing Association, an early competitor to NASCAR, and build Charlotte Motor Speedway, which helped boost racing to new heights. CMS became the foundation of Speedway Motorsports Inc., which now owns eight tracks. Mr. Smith has also been dedicated to philanthropic causes, including his Speedway Children’s Charity. He previously was inducted in the North Carolina Business Hall of Fame, National Motorsports Press Association’s Hall of Fame and International Motorsports Hall of Fame.

What a brilliant man and admirable character! I'd love to sip some bourbon with him. How dare that youngster remind him of the length of his speech, I could listen to him all day. I don't know who that glasses dude is but he needs to shut up. Let the man talk till he's done.
