    Mr. Cale, your record may well stand forever, because NASCAR ain’t worth watching now and the drivers aren’t the same.

      He was a great guy....I have been part of this sport in MANY ways. 1st race, was 1963 at Jacksonville Speedway Park. Wendell Scott won. My last race was the final Cup race in 2023.
      My next race. In LA....and then Daytona....I will go to every single Xfinity race again this year. And Cup races that are the same weekend.

    Cale is one of my all time favorite nascar personalities and drivers, to me he stands beside the two more greats, that are my favorites, Darrell Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt, and especially Cale Yarborough...I was always a Cale Yarborough fan, as long as he drove a Chevy or GM car..lol..But what made me a real Cale fan was, I heard a story from a close friend of his, about how kind and generous he is, as a person...In the county that he lives in and grew up in, in South Carolina, Darlington county(I think)Cale had an account set up with the school district there, for any child that needed school lunch assistants, the bill was on him...he said, let no child go hungry while trying to learn...What a great thing to do for his community

    I wasn’t a Cale Yarborough fan. Back then. I was a Petty fan and still am. But looking back now I was a big fan of not just Richard Petty but of Cale. David Pearson. Bobby Allison all those guys. They were the best of the best. Anyone who came out on top with these guys in a race had beaten the best. They all gave me many years of pleasure while listening to Barney Hall on the radio. NASCAR isn’t the same and looks like it never will be again 😢

    Cale Yarborough is one of if not the only driver that didn’t have to have a race car set up perfect to win a race. As Junior Johnson (whose probably the only other driver that could have said that) once said Cale could get more out of a car that anybody he ever seen.

      More than likely he was an old school democrat himself , I saw he ran for like local positions within his cities of residence too ;
      Though Carter was known as one of worst president in that era of his time
      I’m sure in todays politics , Cale’s wouldn’t align as much with the left , knowing how far to the left the left is , but then again neither the republicans the RINOs in todays time aren’t even any better
