Hey guys! Just FYI these new Red cat trucks share a lot of parts ( chassis, drivetrain, steering and suspension) with the WOV Racing vehicles. Check the shock rod end to see if it's actually threaded. The WOV cars had a defect with them being press fit instead of threads, causing them to pull apart. Also, pay attention to the inner piston. It can break causing suspension sag.

I think the shock broke on the 2nd to last jump. that hard hit into the hill! Looks impressive though! Haven't ran ours yet but hearing its faster then I was thinking and glad to know people are beating it up with little issue!
Yes, I agree. After watching the video it was definitely on the hard landing at the top of the hill. A set of new shocks is around $12. Got some coming. The parts I have wouldn't work sadly.
@@Mr.DarkWoods Looks like Kaiju shocks may be an option too. Haven't confirmed yet but those and the aluminum caps would be a good solution. Haven't broke one of them yet and I send the Kaiju!
Not impressed with all the plastic. It might at well be a Volcano 16. Very low KV motor and not a very high speed for 4s because of it. And they're all blowing shocks, proving they are indeed Redcats. Sorry, but I'll take the Hosim X07 any day, on 3s and a gyro, it's just a blur.
I'd like to see how this compares to the new Mjx 10208, it's also a 4s 1/10 but with some extra features the Redcat doesn't have and coming in at a cheaper price
@@keldonator That esc is Chinese junk with a Bluetooth feature lol.. This ESC is a real deal Max10 one of the best .. Metal cvd's are not always better..We will see how these hold up.

@@Truth_Spoken because big T company owns the patent for clipless bodies and redcat would have to pay additional costs to use it. We all know that big T rc company likes suing
@@raquelsroom I agree about TRX, they LOVE to sue, but I'm not sure they have a patent on clipless bodies, Arrma is using a partial rendition on the BR 6s.. oops, sorry Arrma, the cat's out of the bag now.. LOL.🤫

I saw that too! It was hard to control at high speeds. Gyro would be great.
I wish manufacturer's would match the wheel base to the actual wheel base of the truck or vs versus.

From the looks of it they are threaded at the bottom. Broke right on the first thread.

Yes. With all the money you save buying the truck a gyro is a quick inexpensive upgrade. 👍

The clip less bodies end up flying off from time to time anyway. Body clips at least your lid stays on the whole time.
