Cayla, I'm a Water Distribution Services Specialist and Cross-Connection Control Specialist. Your video is great and very helpful. The pressure tanks are blue because the color blue represents water. Keep up the good work
As a hydrogeologist working for a local health department, it makes me very happy to see a realtor going out of her way to inform buyers about the practicalities and cautions surrounding private well ownership. Too many buyers don't realize that with private well, they are their own water utility.
I do my best to continue learning and sharing what I can with my clients. It is always better to know more about what you are getting into that going in blindly when purchasing acreages!
Nope the blue is the company's color it has for that line. Well X Trol has a few lines. I am a well driller and sell tan Fiberglass tanks looks like that softener you were sitting next too. We also have Off White Tanks, Orange, Green, Red tanks are Red Lion from a box store. Thank you though this is a great start for an average homeowner's knowledge!
I was with her until she didn't know why it was blue and told me it would be in my basement, possibly. Most pressure tanks are in well houses. This was no help, but thank you it was interesting LOL!!!
Hi Kitty Kat - this is a MN well related video. Just curious - are you a MN resident? I'm sure many things can be applied to other locations but most acreages I have seen at least within 1 hour of the TC - the pressure tanks are in the basement. I have come across one in a well house 1x. :) Thank you for checking it out!
No actually I live in the Great Northwest, was looking for a video more geared more towards the area that I live in. Your video was interesting, but not really helpful for me. Thank you for sharing, I'm sure it will help someone out.
My realtor was extremely knowledgeable, but we've had to have this well treated and tested quite a few times. Hopefully we're not having a pump in city water, or re-digit.

Most realtors don't want to bring up the fact that a house is dependent on a well!
The most informed Realtor ever.
Thanks Johnny! I am passionate about farms & acreages and everything that goes with owning them!
Amazing video. Lots of consideration before i buy a rural house.
Thank you Sal!

That isn't the case haha
Super informative video. We’re considering the possibility of living in an area with wells and this helped me understand what that can mean.
