Love to watch this little girl have veggies to eat. This is very healthy for her watching her chew on that carrot is so precious. She is cute and would be a great playmate for Kintaro, they would have so much fun together.
Who knew that one day I would fall in love with gorillas? All this talk about the new movie Godzilla vs Kong, well I'm cheering for King Kong. Because Gorillas are awesome . Love to Thandie who managed to put yet another smile on my face. 💜
Thank you for sharing Thandie, she is beautiful. Her grandmother Ozala is at the Tywcross zoo, Thandie has two uncles there, Lope and Shufia. Thandie father is amazing. Looking to the future the Lope n Shufia will be as handsome as their brother. Everyone should check out Tywcross zoo gorillas. Have a great day.
Awww poor Thandie! Dad just snatched the carrot from her hand...she looked so perplexed for a minute. Then mom does the same thing!! What the hec! Lol like did dad really just take MY carrot ?!? She’s got such a sweet face ♥️.
Thandie is really maturing. She is a little angel!! Mom looks like she is gathering Carrots for quite a stockpile. Thandie's dad is so handsome!! A beautiful dark hair coat. Those nasty old flies need to leave Thandie alone 😣🦟🥕
She is so stinkin cute!!! She has an itchy ear. Momma is a bit of a glutton. My daughter loved carrots so much when she was a baby that her cartilages turned orange and we called her punkin head.😁
Thank you so much for this beautiful video. She was so invested in that carrot. Wish they could stay that age for a few more years. Nothing cuter than Her...... CHEERS
Hello here is our little princess. Oh no ! What horrible flies !!! What a tough life for sweet baby. And what about Daddy taking the carrot ? And what about Mum ? One cannot trust anyone in this world !!!
Thandie does.love carrots! She is so cute. I love how the adults stock up on food. Maybe they feel like they live in pandemic times. I've seen videos of chimpanzees doing this same thing.
Thanks for this video. I love watching these families and how they grow. This little one is so adorable. I just want to hug her and squeeze her close to my heart. Such a gentle animal. I don't like using the term animal for such a majestic, intelligent and beautiful creature.
Haha no the keepers put it on more places. They just collected them very well haha. But the other ladies had enough as well ;p. And it seems like mayani only wanted the carrots because there was more choice haha.
By the time adorable Thandie eats those fat carrots her jaw is going to be tired. When she picked up that corn husk and checked it out that look at Mom was, "What is this? I'm really supposed to eat it? LOL
Why do kids (human or animal) love to eat dirt? 😩 Kintaro from Japan did the same. Thandie is like a female version of Kintaro. They got the same personality. Those flies really annoyed her LOL & that face when she hug that log, so cute! 😍😘
I've seen positive videos lately of Kintaro. He is finally walking around and playing by himself. The first years he'll get breastmilk and every veggie he may taste is just a treat ;). Don't worry, people thought he would never walk by himself, but it worked out well and sooner than most people thought. Every mum has it's own way and every gorilla group is different and every gorilla baby develops in it's own time ;).
You'll have to wait for Thandie to be back here until probably January, when I'm hopefully able to see her again. We're still waiting for baby boy to arrive. Could be any day now ;).
Dear Lieke, thank you for your interesting and unique films. I've learned a lot about this specie. Have you ever been to the Kyoto zoo? At least have you watched those videos showing a gorilla family of four? I would be interested about your opinion about their living conditions there.
@@juttamussong-loffler9292 it's hard to give my opinion on their living conditions. The videos I've seen were okay. The Gorilla's seemed to be doing well. Hair looked good and their bodies as well. But I can't see how big the in- and oudside enclosures are. I did hear a lot about Kintaro. A few of my followers mentioned him in the comments of my video. I've read his mum is very protective and still won't put him down to crawl or walk. But I also read she has a bad history with putting her children down. So it is kind a logical she is that much protective. I just hope it needs time and Kintaro will eventually be able to crawl and walk. But untill then, people need to be patient I think. The little fella seems to be doing well. He moves and grabs on things he can reach from his mums arms. The Gorilla's I've seen in the videos, look healthy luckily. But I've never been there so I can not say much about the situation. Hope it answers your question though.
@@LiekesShotOfLife The zoo's staff showed a video about Genki. There it is said that Kintaro is her second child. Her first is Gentaro (8years) living together with his mother, father (Momontaro) and his younger brother, Kintaro. Gentaro seems to love this little gorilla quite a lot whereas Genki is really mean. She always ran away, boxed and hit him and once she spit water into his face because she didn't like that he came to close. This elder son was hand-raised because Genki had too less milk and he was dehydrated. It seems on the one hand she is very protective on the other hand she refuses her older son extremely. Therefore it is a wonder that Gentaro reacts not more aggressive. In their area is noone who can play with him. He is refused by his mother, he cannot even touch his brother and the only one he has physically contact is his huge father. Momontaro sometimes tries to fight with him, but when he is tired he runs away. Comparing your films to other zoos there is much difference in providing shelter (often with great amount of straw for laying) and food (different vegetables or fruit, combined with fŕozen ice). If you watch Genki's fur you can see small injuries, bloody, and looking dull. Thank you so much for answering. It helps me with judging the situation. I am a little worried because gorillas are wonderful, clever and nearly similar in their behaviour to us. Closing them in a zoo means a kind of prisoning. They are worth giving them all the best and not the least. Thank you!!!
@@juttamussong-loffler9292 Thanks for your extensive reaction. I can see it's a complicated situation. Certainly for Genki and Gentaro. How old is Genki? Is he in puberty? In Artis we've got three boys in puberty and it also was and is a reason why mom was really careful with putting damsi down in the first bit. Sometimes one of the boys (in puberty) kidnaps Damsi and Dafina (mom) will run after them and get Damsi back. The advantage for these boys is that they have each other to play rough with and pick on each other. Though they also had quite some time of problems in Artis with yanga (2 year old girl), who was being introduced into the family. The puber boys where a bit too rough in playing with her and it scared her for a long time. But now it's all fine. Yanga lives with the rest of the group and plays a lot with Damsi and Yanga. Sad to read the zoo doesn't give the gorilla's much shelter and food. And I get your worries, gorilla's are indeed such wonderful, clever creatures. The ones in zoos will not have a good live in the wild but the ones in the wild should stay there. They are certainly worth giving all the best!

Beautiful baby Thandie, Love those little chubby legs. She will soon learn to keep mummy and daddy at a distance when she's enjoying her carrot.
Geez what does a kid have to do to get a carrot around here? I guess I’ll just eat dirt
I know Thandi, flies can be really pestering.

I be so glad when they can open up the zoo around my area .... The nearest one is 2 hours away in Jackson Mississippi
