Looks like so much fun! I really enjoy your solo trips because that is something I am going to be just starting to do but I absolutely love the family camping videos. Nothing is better than getting the entire family outdoors and just having a great time spending time with each other.
I always pull the gray for a moment to lube up the tube before pulling the black. Then go back and pull the rest of the gray. Also make sure to fill the black quite with extra water before you go to dump to help the flow.

Watching this from the floating RV...come to the Florida Panhandle! Glad you were able to get out so quick. I need to add to your Tennessee care package the shirt that says, "I'm sorry for the things I said while backing in the RV..." Enjoy!
I never drain my water heater until the freezing weather sets in. Do you have a spare tire, jack and lug wrench? Remember the camper will drop if you have a flat and the jack might not go under it. A habit I have followed when unhooking the camper from the tow vehicle is 1. unhook the electrical & tether 2. unhook all chains except one 3. raise the tongue to clear the ball 4. unhook the weight distribution bars 5. unhook the last chain. If you some reason the camper decides to roll for any reason that one last chain will hopefully catch it.

I was like them and would drain it at the end of the season but you know how this DFW weather is and went out and failed to drain it and the 2021 Texas ice storm hit and I had my mind on other things. To make a long and costly story short, I now drain it after every outting as part of my routine.

Brian, congrats on the new trailer. I have the same one, but with fiberglass siding. Nice little unit! I don't ever drain my water heater until the end of the season when I'm winterizing or if you feel like you have nasty water in it for some reason. If you have water in your fresh water tank, you can drain it to save on weight on the way home. Mine has a black tank flush on it after the sales rep told me it had one during the original sales tour and when I was taking delivery of it a few days later, it was determined that they don't come with one. Long story short... the dealer had to install one on their dime. ; ) I'm not sure if you completely drained your black before pulling your grey, but that would be the proper way to do it with no black tank flush to help clean out the hose of sewage. Another thing you may want to consider, if you're plugged in at a site, use the electric option on your water heater and save your propane. It works just as well. If the previous owner didn't tell you, you can use both the propane and electric option to heat your water up faster if taking multiple showers one after another. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Take care and God Bless!

Brian you would absolutely LOVE the JOOLCA Nomad. It's what I use when I go camping. Definitely check it out brother! I bought when I went back to Okra-Homo to go fish and it was an amazing hit amongst everyone. You literally get to shower outside. Joolca/Nomad. FYI the camper can be named Famdigo... This video gets better and better! 😅
