My name is Ashton and I've been watching all of your videos. I really want to pursue nursing and I hope that I get accepted to UH, as it is 15 minutes from me. I have one more year in high school in will start applying in August. I've taken Principles of Health Science and Medical Terminology. Is there anything else that I should be doing to get ready for nursing school? Thinking about it gets me anxious and sometimes scared. What should I do so I can be as prepared as possible.

Id recommend getting a job or volunteer in the healthcare field to get some experience. After high school, I worked as a pharmacy technician until I started my nursing program. Since I go to UTMB, I'm not able to give the best tips about UH's nursing program (but I have heard it is very strict and competitive)! Regardless if you put in the work, you'll get something out of it! The best you can do is stay on top of your pre-reqs, application deadlines, and only stress over things that you can control. Applying to nursing school is definitely a rough ride but you got this! Good Luck!! :)
