  • Filmed in full HD. Under the new ownership of Cloburn Quarry Company Ltd, Ravenstruther Rail Terminal is once again back in business after many, many years of no freight traffic.
On Monday the 4th of April 2022, 66554 is filmed and photographed at Ravenstruther Rail Terminal having just worked 6K60 from Thornton Terminal Complex (T.C.) with Freightliner back at one of there old haunts. The train comprising of 30 MHA/MFA EWS Coalfish wagons has just been propelled from the headshunt onto the loading point.
Later on in the evening the fully loaded train ran to Millerhill S.S., 3 hours 44 minutes early via a run round at Mossend. The ballast is eventually ending up along the Levenmouth Branch Line which is currently being reinstated.
A welcome sight indeed but also a rather strange one seeing a Freightliner Class 66 and even just a freight train back at Ravenstruther.
