How is this wheel when you want to cruise slower? I mean if you don't cruise fast does it feel heavy and harder to control and less comfy? I am also tempted for this wheel as my first, either this or the KS 16x is what I'm considering the most.
@@messiahshow I think the VS is a bit more tricky at slower speeds. After spending a while on the sherman I've got interested in the Gotway RS as its a great option if you want to try jumps/bike trails with it's nimbleness. Mike Leahy rides one

Talking the truth Chooch! Unless we get jet packs, there’s nothing out there that will surpass EUCs for portability, usability, and efficiency. Just a wheel with a case around it that can take you miles upon miles wherever you want to go. People don’t know what they’re missing.
Yea and its crazy to think if it wasnt the circumstances that got me into euc years ago, I would also probably look down on it and be uninterested. Very glad I got into this hobby and have learned to embrace the quirkiness of it to the max! Hey when its min stream it might not be as fun
The best point of the EUC for me: Integration with public transport. There's simply no other vehicle that I can take with me in a train or a bus as easily as the EUC. It's the perfect "Last mile" vehicle. You can even use it as a portable chair when the train is full. =D

Chooch i'm a big fan and i almost bought an EUC because of you but i still decided to build an ebike so i can ride in any conditions. Wind, rain, snow ebike is more comfortable than an EUC. Your shoes and pants won't be as wet, suspension, no full moto gear, being able to sit and no bodyweight workout is nice. However all that aside what is concerning with EUC's is that crashing seems inevitable. It's a matter of when and not what if. Seeing Kuji roll crash from a speed wobble and EUC riders accepting crashes because they have gear and they trust in gear. Going 50-70km/h and crashing because of a cutoff or it stopped balancing the wheel - you can get crushed by the cars behind you or send your wheel flying towards pedestrians. With an ebike such risks are mitigated and if something does go wrong you won't be sliding the street unless you slipped on ice. Imagine crashing as a heavier guy or an older guy. It's hospitalized or screwed for life if you fall at speed just once. It's an unacceptable risk to me no matter how fun and awesome it is.

TBH I don't want EUC to become super mainstream for a reason that I wanted euc as a special unique vehicle only for a selected few (like us EUC riders) like chooch said that he doesn't mind if it wont become mainstream so that he can have like of a unique superpower that some people don't have.
Agree 100%, and the fact that they will be regulated once they do become super mainstream, I don't want that to happen. I feel like some sort of super human on the streets, and other people think I'm radical on it.

I stick on the most right side of the road and pass police quite often. They don't seem to care since I'm a responsible rider and it's just a super interesting device.
Sherman is my favorate wheel. But its not round. Iooks like its a uni square. Id buy it now ....and cover up the square. If i can ever fund it. Cool videos Mr Chooch. You got me into wheelin. I've had my veteran chairman since January 4th, I had minor issues but the company sent me a new battery and was very helpful, I'm already at 1600 miles, I'm 200 lb I've done 40 miles at 30 miles an hour and I ride hard, after that 40 mile I still have 30% battery and I was still riding hard it never beat that me, I've even crashed at 35 miles an hour spent the back bar but at least it did not break
Could only afford the ks 16xs but that is the best 1500 dollars I ever spent. I think it's common for people to start out on a onewheel and eventually transition into euc
Yea certain situations like that you need to make an offroad trail to the walmart with some jumps then it will be your go to transport. Not everywhere is setup for em.
Walmart is 30 mins from me too. I still ride my Monster V3 out there. Its WAY more fun than driving. Anything to ride. 30 minutes is nothing on an EUC. And it feels like 5
I love EUC too but i don’t think it’s ever going to catch on with general public. It’s way too intense and physical and learning takes much more effort than a scooter. Stealing bikes is still illegal but cops have bigger problems to worry about. Which is good, otherwise they would come after us too.

I do see a problem emerging: People aren't treating EUCs as an alternative transportation or even a replacement. Instead, they're starting to treat it as a recreational "hobby", wanting more speed, bigger wheels, etc. It's like people want the Lamborghini to joyride rather than the all-rounder Prius.
Thats because they aren't a replacement or alternative for a LARGE number of people. The euc has and will more than likely ALWAYS be a recreational item. Incliment weather, carrying payload, long distance, carrying passengers, relative redundancy, extensive highway and interstate system, high speeds in comfort, insurance, build quality etc... Too many benefits to OTHER forms of transportation for a lot of us. I fear my hobby being ruined by insurance and legislation.
Great content. You're really riding those stars(fame). My Sherman isn't configured the way I want. The tire isn't aligned. And I am looking at the right shapes for my diy pads. I need to put a temporary mud guard on my Sherman.

Personally I'd still do the off road tire. It helps with letting people know u are around. They can hear the hum of the tire... I use music normally, but some days my speakers need charging and it's great to have the the unit a little louder then silent
saw from kuji rolls street is better for low speeds under 30 since it will just be more nimble. at 30+ you will get wobbles on the street that the knobby tires will eliminate. Overall people seem to prefer the knobby.
@@4sky I've gone 49mph with my knobby tire. No real wobbles, now when I first got my Sherman the tire came unbalanced on my rim, and that specifically gave my unit speed wobbles... once I corrected that issue I haven't had many issues

I hope city commuting will transfer in next decade and support micromobility. Now when I am driving in traffic jam I am thinking that these guys are stuck there, probably going less miles than me with their huge inefficient machines just burning fuel. Not saying car is wrong but for short city commutes its totaly useless but people still think that its comfort. I dont find the traffic jams and finding parking places a comfort

you control it with all of your body, it depends on riding style . You hawe to balance it to the sides only , back and forward it does it by itself.

In Austria it is not allowed to ride EUCs... and I guess this doesnt change till chooch and all the others stop doin high speed runs on side walks. ;-( I call this kind of videos "the best reason why EUCs dont get legalized world wide"...

yes, when a criminal is given a PR bond for theft instead of held accountable they repeat the crime. The officer gets tired of filing paperwork for someone that will be out in 2 hours.
