@@richardbamsey5242 Looking back on my life, I don't know how I managed to break away from the Billboard charts and sugary radio junk into this realm of criminally underappreciated magic like this, but I'm glad I'm here. At the same time, however, it's very bittersweet... I don't have anyone directly to share in my love for this kind of music in real life. :-( I wish others understood how music like this makes me feel.
After years of following these amazing singers, I'm finally getting to see them live tomorrow evening at Folkestone... I can't wait! Just sad I have no one to share this with...
These guys are a force of nature, ridiculously talented. It's like the essential "Celticism" of the northeast, the Old North, is having a dialogue with everything that has happened since. Then that clogging at the end! Spellbinding performance.
It's taken me a while to come around to this song, I started on Magpie from Detectorists, then have come around from Molly Drake, Robert Wyatt and many brilliant others to finally truly appreciate this song - and the clog dancing - in it's own right! As a child I used to take our 'large plaster chess set' wooden board out and pretend to tap dance on it, if I'd seen this then I would TOTALLY be doing this dancing! :)
they are awesome 21centuary rock and roll, me I love the because I'm from the 60's and the south coast ,check them out please, I know its not street its more lane, but so am i
Rarely does music make we want to weep, this is one song that does it every time. Sublime.
its not so easy when you love something nobody else gets

One of the most sublime things I ever seen in music. Beautiful!
I am not usually a fan of trumpet but this is stunning. Love everything about this.
If I'd been in that audience, when the big crescendo hits toward the end, I'm pretty sure I would have started to levitate or melt, or both.
Just spine tingling from 8:51
Brings a tear to my eye
I agree, goose bumps every time!
The cadens with the trumpetsolo reminds me to Rock Bottom of Robert Wyatt...beautiful
