Hey! Which one turned out with the best hot throw? 8% or 10%? Also, what % would you recommend in average for essential oils in soy candles? Thanks in advance =)
Why do people think Soy is such a good choice for candles? Soy wax is processed and has a poor scent throw in comparison to other waxes. It’s not as bad as some candle waxes but I wish people would try other waxes! I’m so glad you picked RCX it silky smooth, and great with essential oils to use as a cream once burnt! I’d love to see how you use different wicks to help throw scent differently, and what you would recommend! 😊
Yes, definitely! I'm really loving RCX and like you said, it's really silky smooth 😊 I'm at a really good place now with my wicks so I could definitely do a video on that! x
Thanks so much for these videos it is SO helpful, I’ve been wanting to start my own candle business and struggled with a few aspects of it but these videos have encouraged me and helped me a lot!!! Thank you
It was so great finding you because I use as well rapeseed coconut wax and I hardly find people using this wax. I have some questions: 1.) how long do you leave your candles to cure? 2.) Is it important to put a lid on while the candle is curing? 3.) is there a big difference when you use EO/FO? 4.) Do you heat up your wax till the max or you find a point where its really good I am looking to start a candle Business with strong-smelling candles, Its so hard for me to find really how to get a good HT/CT.... Great video and thank you so much for the information
Hello! Of course. So I typically leave my candles to cure for at least a week for a good hot scent throw and I always do put my lid on just in case - I haven't tried it without really. You'll get a stronger scent throw from FO as they are just stronger than EO (check out my latest video on that), but it depends on what you want to use. FO are also cheaper too. I heat my wax to 60/65 (but you need to check what works for your wax anyway by checking with the manufacturer). Hope that helps somewhat xx
Your videos are extremely helpful! I am new to the candle making world and was wondering since you are using a Rapeseed & Coconut wax blend or if you decide to use a Coconut Apricot wax blend do you still need a carrier oil ?
Thank you! Most supermarkets or kitchen retailers should sell them :) I believe mine is from Tesco. Otherwise, check out Amazon! You'll want to search for an electronic one x
Thank you! It burns really well, actually 😊 and I always seem to get a nice smooth top. I'll film a video this weekend burning both candles and get it up! x
Hello 😊 I've never really experienced any burning smells with my candles. It makes me wonder what percentage of essential oils you're using? And also, if your essential oils are high-quality?

I am just starting a candle business. This was so helpful!! I have been researching why my candles don't have a strong smell.
