beautiful. the tragedy of Jaguar in the 90s was instead of doing THIS they terminated the production. Such a shame. Stil looks way better than almost all other marques in the sector.
Ich habe auch einen XJ8 Jahrgang 2003 und würde auch gerne mal ein facelift machen lassen Frage gibt es ein Liste über Preise Material ungefähr Arbeitsumfang etc? mit freundlichen Grüssen Gautier Wolf
After a brief initial statement of liking Jaguars, this presentation seems to be trying to give the impression that all the qualities mentioned in relation to this particular car were entirely the result of Arden's work, even the wood and the leather. Simple reality is that the Jaguar XJs are superb cars to start with, with an amazing range of abilities, and this one is simply a modified Jaguar.
Maybe it's due to somewhat unfortunate translation, but he never said the leather and wood were made by Arden. He said the particular smell of real wood and leather is something unique, and reminiscent of a glorious automotive era. In fact, when he talks about the AJ4, it's actually the original Jaguar car he praises most, and secondly the changes made by him. But one has to speak german to understand these nuances.
Not too keen on all the badge mess going on... Daimler badging, Jaguar badging, Arden badging..... They should have used an XJ12 to start, not a Double Six since de Daimler was always the more comfortable and less sporty one. Just my humble opinion!
@@geriatricmotorcars9516 yes but this car mixes badges and a Daimler has always been the most refined of the two. The elegant one. The Jaguar badge has a racing pedigree. Engines are the same.
@@reyrob I get it as an owner of both , I never expected to see the Daimler grill ' Maybe because the Daimler name is German ' He likes the idea of an anglo German' hybrid 👍
The question is why ? To me , and I drive a brand new 1990 Japanese imported series 3 Daimler v12 it is faultless. It is a 1000 times better than my old 7 series BMW and I couldnt want anything faster nor anything to make it go round corners faster , It is the way Jaguar intended it to be . This car , is it a Jag or a Daimler ? it has a leaping cat mascot on top of a Daimler grill painted black . it has Jaguar after market stearing wheel that looks out of place and it says Daimler in the focal point of the dashboard . Whats with those wheels . To me , the black paint need rubbing off to get the chrome back , it needs putting back to standard and all the modern bling , junking . You wouldnt want to dress your 90 year old Grandmother up in a short Mini skirt, heels and a push up bra , would you ? This car is the same , she is an old lady with too much make up.
Wow, poetry in motion, beautiful.
The serie 3 lines and composition are the perfect xj look
Bisher waren so die alten Mercedes Benz Fahrzeuge meine Favoriten! Aber der Wagen stellt alles in den Schatten! Lieben auf den ersten Blick!
I just bought xjr x308 and im in love woth it. Danke scht Herr Arden fur wirklich gut job !

Fabulous cars, nice to see the German appreciation of our engineering. Arden have a long history now with modifying Jags.

100% agree. This car is ugly as it is now. From a proud XJ40 owner!
There's nothing wrong with modernizing and improving an old car as long as it is done tastefully and not butchered in the process.
