My response which I wrote before watching the video: The pie charts illustrate the daily intake of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar by the average adult in the United Kingdom. Overall, meals with sodium and saturated fat are mainly consumed during dinner, whereas snacks have the highest fraction of added sugar. Dinner for UK citizens is rich in sodium as it accounts for 42% of their daily intake. Lunch comes second with more than a quarter, while both breakfast and snacks constitute 30% of sodium consumption per day. The trend of saturated fats intake is similar to that of sodium, albeit the proportions are slightly different. The reported percentages were 39%, 26%, 19% and 16% for dinner, lunch, snacks and breakfast, respectively. Added sugars, on the other hand, depict a different behaviour. Snacks rank at the top with 45%, followed by lunch and dinner as both contributed to about a fifth of added sugar consumption. Finally, breakfast had the least nutrients involving added sugars, with only 16%.
Thank you so much for your videos, I didn't prepare formally for IELTS by enrolling in a course or hiring a tutor but instead gained useful tips from your videos and ended up with an 8 band overall!!
Asiya, you have a clear vision of how to teach for the IELTS exam. Your videos were the major source for my preparation and I scored a band 8 recently in a very short duration. Thank you!

The pie charts illustrate the proportion of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar taken in during meals by adults in the UK. Excessive intake of any of those nutrients may lead to undesirable repercussions affecting one’s health. Overall, the consumption of all the three nutrients for breakfast and lunch were relatively lower compared to snacks and dinner. This shows that that the UK adults consume a healthier and balanced meal during the 2 vital meals of the day, whereas dinner contains the most sodium and saturated fat. Most of the added sugar is taken in during sncaks. According to the pie charts, adults in the UK consume around 13% to16% sodium, saturated fat and added sugar during breakfast which is clearly on the healthy end of the spectrum. The intake of the same nutrients during dinner make up almost three-fifth of the pie charts, at which sodium and added sugar is the most and least consumed nutrition accounting for 28% and 19% respectively. On the other hand, the intake of all three nutrients appear to be less balanced during dinner and snacks. The intake of sodium during dinner were among the highest, at around 42% while during snacks, added sugar is noted to be the most consumed nutrition. Meanwhile, the daily consumption of saturated fat during snacks and dinner is 19% and 39% respectively.

Would appreciate your opinion of this - The chart provides information about the proportion of consumption of the 3 nutrients consumed by adults. However, excess intake of these nutrients may be detrimental to the human body. The three nutrients namely, sodium, saturated fat and added sugar are consumed in 4 types of meals which are snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The percentage intake of sodium and saturated fat is almost similar in all the four meals whereas for percentage of added sugar in snacks and dinner differ vastly from the other two nutrients for the same meals. For dinner, sodium and saturated fat are consumed the most with 42% and 39% respectively whereas added sugar comprises of is 19%. For the first meal of the day all three nutrients are consumed in similar quantities where sodium being 13% and saturated fat and added sugar both are 16%. Among the three nutrients sodium is consumed the most during lunch with 28% followed by saturated fat at 26% and lastly added sugar with 20%. Interestingly, for snacks the proportion of sodium and saturated fat is only 17% and 19% respectively while the percentage of added sugar the largest while snacking with 45%.

Hi Asiya, I just wanted to thank you for your helpful videos. I received my IELTS test result two days ago and I got a band 7.5 with the help of your videos, especially the "tips and tricks" ones.

You really should avoid the "healthy" analysis. There is no indication of how MUCH each nutrient is consumed. They are proportions - not quantities. If someone has 100g of fat or 10g of fat - that's not shown in the charts. In either case, 100% of it comes from somewhere.

Maybe someone could correct this: The pie charts illustrate the daily consumption of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar by adults living in the UK. Each chart is categorized by meals as breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Breakfast and lunch appear to be the quite healthy meals comparing to the dinner and snacks. Breakfast has the lowest intake of these three nutrients which contains between 13 to 16 percent of each nutrient. For lunch, adults in UK consumed about 20 to 28 percent of these nutrients which added sugar being the lowest and sodium being the highest. In regards of healthiness, the meals for dinner and snacks appear to be the less healthy. Out of all the meals, dinner contains the largest amount of sodium then followed by saturated fat (42 percent and 39 percent). The added sugar is consumed in the largest quantity in adult’s snacks for 45 percent while only 16 percent of adults consumed this nutrient for their breakfast. Overall, the meals for breakfast and lunch by adults in the UK is relatively healthier compared to their dinner which contains the largest the highest sodium and saturated fat while snacks contain the largest ingredients of added sugar which makes up almost half of the nutrient. This clearly shows that too much snacking is unhealthy and could ruin your healthy diet plan.
The chart illustrates proportions of three different kinds of nutrients ( sodium, added sugar and saturated fat ) in ordinary meals which is consumer may be affected unhealthy if consumed to much among three of them in the USA. Overall, consumers were the most affected unhealthy if consumed to sodium at dinner, while the least affected if consumed to sodium at breakfast and snacks. The pie charts show the average consumption of three nutrients by UK adults at different eating times. Excessive intake of these nutrients such as sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, could be detrimental on one’s health. As the pie charts show, these three nutrients are the least consumed by British adults at breakfast, with sodium at 13% and saturated fat and added sugars at equal amounts of 16%. In addition, an increased average intake is observed during lunch, as values vary from 20% to 28%, with added sugars being the lowest and sodium being the highest. Nevertheless, during these meal periods, UK adults consumed nutrients considerably healthy. Although high value of 45% added sugars is consumed by British adults at the same meal time, the average ratio of sodium and saturated fat consumed at snacks is much lower at 17% and 19%, respectively. Furthermore, 42% of sodium and 39% of saturated fat are taken at dinner. Clearly, at these peak percentages, UK adults nutrients consumption is unhealthy. In general, older Britons consume mainly sodium and saturated fat at dinner, while they prefer to eat large amounts of added sugar when snacking. On the other hand, these three nutrients are the least consumed at breakfast.
@14:12: when you say (as well as slightly more sodium and saturated fat than for breakfast) is this statement correct? is it should be (as well as slightly more sodium and saturated fat than added sugar) ? please correct me and could you explain it more? thank you

IELTS general writing task 1: You have lost your student identification card. This has created some problems for you. Write a letter to the director of student services. In your letter advise them of your situation explain how this is affecting you request a new card Answer: Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter with regards to the loss of my student identification card. It is to share with you that I lost my card a couple of days ago near the college parking stand. I am quite certain about this since I have the card with me right before entering the parking. It was a brisk walk from the science department to take a bus, in the meanwhile due to the broken zip of my bag the card fell somewhere. I am having difficulties without the card. Firstly, my exams are approaching soon, I must prepare for the exams which require me to study in the library for long hours and without a card I can not cross the electronic doors. Secondly, it is mandatory to make the card visible to appear in the exam. Last but not least I am unable to travel on the dedicated public transport for students without the student card. Considering the above inconveniences and the fact that the student card is quite important for identification, I would request you to issue a new card before my exams. I will pay the fees for the penalty and I assure you I will try my best to keep the card safe from onwards. I would also like to inquiry about how many days it takes to produce a new card. I am looking forward to a positive prompt response from your kind side. Yours faithfully, ABCXYZ Please suggest something for the improvement in the answer and what bands I am currently standing at in writing task 1?
is it okay if i focus the paragraphs around the nutrients? I practiced the same and instead of forming a and b on the basis of meals, clubbed sodium and saturated fats in a and dedicated a paragraph to added sugar.
The pie charts depicts the daily consumption of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar by adults living in the United Kingdom. The charts are divided by meals as breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Adults in UK consume equal amounts of saturated fats and added sugar for breakfast , but consume slightly less sodium. Among the three nutrients sodium is consumed in largest quantity for lunch followed by saturated fat at 26% and added sugar at 20%. The daily dinner of an adult UK citizen consists almost two fifth sodium and saturated fats but only one fifth added sugar.Added sugar makes up for almost half of the nutrients in snacks. Which clearly shows that having too much of snacks can suggest an unhealthy diet plan.
If your breakfast has little sodium, fat and sugar, does that necessarily mean that that meal is light? I personally have a big bowl of oats with no salt and sugar every morning, my meal is definitely not light, or am I misunderstanding the sentence?
Intro The three pie charts demonstrate the ratio of nutritious contents which are included in the food items utilised by grown-up population in the United Kingdom. Is this fine?
Hello!! In the Body 1 you said that the breakfast contains between 13% and 16% of each nutrient, but I think this is not true.. It contains between 13% and 16% of the total we consume in a day for each nutrient. Isn't it? It's not accurate. This kind of misunderstanding (mine or yours) it really matters? Thank you :)
what about the life cycles or a process for task 1. They are a process as a whole so is it okay to write them in one body paragraph or should we split them up?
Asiya or other friends. Can somebody help me with this. I wrote this today and what do you think which ielts bands score is possible to get - The charts illustrate average percentages in food meals of three kinds of nutrients, all of them can be bad for reported Americans. Overview, details show that the Americans consume mostly sodium (43 percentage ) and saturated fat ( 37 percentage ) for dinner. Meanwhile added sugar is also consumed for the dinner but in a smaller percentage of 23. Looking from the charts results we can see that for lunch we have almost equal percentages in consuming sodium (29 %) and saturated fat (26%). Added sugar have again smaller percentages (19%). Americans almost use the same amount of three nutritions for the breakfast. Rapidly change happends for snacks. Here the main nutrition is added sugar (42 percentage ), following the saturated fat (21 percentage) and the last is sodium (14 percentage). All in all, the charts details us that consuming each nutritions in bigger amounts can be very damaging for health. We may consider that healthy life- style needs to be in balance between all meals of the day.

11:48 can someone explain this grammar -->.... with added sugar being the lowest and sodium *the highest*
I don't understand how *highest* correlates with the sentence.
The sentence is "....with added sugar being the lowest and sodium beeing the highest", but the word "being" can be omitted as the meaning of the sentence is self-evident.
@@plamenaivanova1604 thank you :)
Thank you for the exelent lesson.

Thanks mam. Your videos are truly helpful. I am having hard time with writing section. Kindly suggest .
The pie charts provide the information about the average consumption of three nutrients by grown ups in the. United Kingdom. These all nutrients may be unhealthy if it is being consumed in higher quantity

IELTS general writing task 1:
You have lost your student identification card. This has created some problems for you.
Write a letter to the director of student services. In your letter
advise them of your situation
explain how this is affecting you
request a new card
Answer:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter with regards to the loss of my student identification card.
Yours faithfully,
ABCXYZ
Please suggest something for the improvement in the answer and what bands I am currently standing at in writing task 1?
is it okay if i focus the paragraphs around the nutrients?
I practiced the same and instead of forming a and b on the basis of meals, clubbed sodium and saturated fats in a and dedicated a paragraph to added sugar.
Thanks a million.
You really are a smart english speaker and writer. Is english your first language ?
Thank you! My first language is Russian, but I've been in the UK for 11 years now
thank you so much
The pie charts depicts the daily consumption of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar by adults living in the United Kingdom.
Yup I agree with you on this.
Asiya can you plz the video on how to improve task 2 writing plz
Please suggest something for IELTS general writing task 1 and task 2. Thank you.
Hi, should we write all the changes and proportions which have been given in the pie chart or is it alright if we describe only the main parts.
Please make the same video for general training
Intro
The three pie charts demonstrate the ratio of nutritious contents which are included in the food items utilised by grown-up population in the United Kingdom.
Is this fine?
Good😊
Excellent
Hi Asiya, could you do a video regarding line graph? It’s hard for me.
Seeing this before a day of my IELTS.....
Good luck!
So i have a question to ask: Can i write my overview in my introduction and also write an overview again in the last paragraph?
Please give a general training session
Какая вы милая!!!!
what about the life cycles or a process for task 1. They are a process as a whole so is it okay to write them in one body paragraph or should we split them up?
It's looking listing of data!
Hello do you also teach general Ielts ?? Pls reply
Is the given example of the overview exact the same as you would write if it were placed after the introduction? With the exact same words and all
Asiya or other friends.
I luv you asiya
