the most underrated part of QFS AVIATION is his photography skills and ability to create montages at the airport for ALMOST EVERY trippreport Notice this!!! And it’s super difficult to edit. Keep up the amazing shots! We love them!
Quintin, Alaska is one of my favorite states also. In January I was in Juneau, AK. I have been to Alaska five times in four years. I plan on hitting my Fairbanks next year around March.
Amazing! Juneau is an awesome town. I was in Fairbanks this March right before everything with COVID-19 got bad. I’ll admit it’s quite chilly (-30F), but if you go out to Chena Hot Springs or photograph the northern lights it’s absolutely amazing. The city is spectacular too
as a flight attendant myself for another carrier, i don't mind if folks record as long as it's not me since my airline does have rules against recording crew.
I’m sorry to hear the flight attendants were so rude to you, I would have thought they would be happy about you filming, giving the airline media coverage and providing the airline with a possible expanding clientele range, you can’t please them all, thank you for another fantastic trip report.
All the years I lived in Seattle and I never found a reason or went on some weekend trip up to Alaska. Oh well. At least there are vloggers like you who show what the experience flying up there is like.
This Q re-view is sponsored by a pre-departure orange juice. The departure, in flight, and arrival footage was well filmed and edited. Even the car from the airport into town was cool. So give it a view and hit the like and sub buttons. Well done Quebec Foxtrot Sierra and thanks for sharing!!
I flew with Alaska Airlines First Class Fairbanks-Anchorage-Seattle in May 2019. I thought it was a great experience. Wish I continued on to Boston with them instead of Jet Blue Mint. Nice video...you captured some beautiful views...liked seeing Mt Rainier.
Great video of a great trip!!! Thanks for letting us ride along! All the best from here on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, west coast of Florida USA!!!
We have an international crisis, no one is able to fly anymore. And then there’s you, who provides us with so many different flight reviews. I don’t know how you handle that 😅 I had to change my upload schedule to every 2-3 weeks to be able to upload until fall of 2020 Thanks for the video and have a great week!
Great trip report (as usual), QFS. I thought Delta's premium cabin meals were paltry - but this drives the bar to a whole new low: not even a pickle! First Class "sure ain't what it used to be".
Great photography and editing. Another super-professional trip report. I'd have been pretty disappointed in that small lunch, especially for a first class meal (or even snack). I remember when Alaska Airlines served non-finger-food in first, sometimes even when it wasn't meal time. Hope you can start flying and recording again soon!
Great take off sound and vision Q !! Best IFE...the window view !!! Glad your nuts were warm ( sorry ) Very interesting figures about the airport...well done !!! Looks bloody cold out there...and tell the crew to get stuffed...you are paying their wages. !! Thanks again Quintin for another excellent trip report and stay well and safe in these uncertain times !!
I hope you can see my question🙏: at 14:38 , right after you get off the plane do you go thru any custom, security or immigration checkpoint or to talk to anyone at all before you can leave the airport? Or once you get off the plane youre good to leave?
Has Boeing added the Max-8 type winglets to all of their 737 fleet so that the 737 Max-8 will just blend in when re-certified to fly? I flew a 737-800 in January from Dallas to Colorado Springs and it didn't have the double winglet.
They added the winglets because they save even more on fuel costs... maybe just 1 or 2% but anyway they can squeeze more fuel efficiency lowers the costs.
Many years ago, I flew first class on Alaska airlines on one of their MD-82 aircraft from Los Angeles to Portland, OR. I really enjoyed it. The day before, I had flown from New York JFK to LAX on American Airlines also first class.
I haven't had really any problems filming on Alaska flights, I guess you just got unlucky! Also I'm not sure if you were just meaning that aircraft but Alaska does have entertainment screens on some aircrafts, like I took Alaska from SEA-LAX and had a built in screen.
I flew Alaskan airlines a few times , but most memorably from SAN-SEA-ANCHORAGE . On the second leg, with the 737-8, the seat was very uncomfortable. I had reserved a window seat for (20$?)) , but my seat was missing a window!! Also, the recline on my seat and my travel companion seat was broken. The flight was only half full so I had moved one row forward (empty row) to a working seat and the flight attendant came out and asked to see my ticket (noticing i moved). She rudely demanded that I move back to my broken seat and barely let me explain that I couldn’t sit there for two hours. The only thing that made it worse was that on both legs, food wasn’t served besides this purchase able 10$ snack box. (I was allergic to the contents ). Since they were out of other options, at least on the first leg they offered me chips from first class for a “fee”. My connection was tight so I had no time, and I was being ignored by the FAs on the second leg, so I had to do with a water. I have to confess, the ticket price was only 230$ per person which was pretty good considering my tight schedule. I guess you get what you pay for, but I would’ve paid the 400$ per person to fly on delta . I’d choose to be fed onboard and seated on a functional seat rather than harassed and hungry. Thanks for sharing Quintin!! I respect the grind and the uploads ✊🏻
Hey Q ... another great presentation! Thanks for saving me the disappointment of flying on Alaska Airlines 👍🏻. That “meal” was a disgrace and what’s up with the cheap wooden tray? I know you’ve flown them several times and not once have I ever been evenly mildly impressed with the meals they’ve served you. Interior looks pretty beaten to death too. As always, I enjoy your presentations 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. What’s up with everyone without masks during the pandemic?
I remember in 2017 I went on a trip to Seattle with my family and I watched the solar eclipse from that tower at 6:52 called the space needle. And of course no avgeek can go to the Seattle area and not visit the biggest building in the world, Boeing’s Everett plant. And on my tour the guides skirt fell down when we were getting in the freight elevator to see the 787 production line! 😂🤣😂🤣😂 That was a weird 2 minutes lol
i still get spoiled ....with DEN/DIA..... easy to navigate....SEA seems to be dated...went through there last june and again in november...i had to ask where the PRE-TSA was.....no signs..not all screening areas had it....confusing
I was supposed to fly to both on Ravn but my flight got cancelled due to a snowstorm. I switched to Anchorage to Bethel, and also Anchorage to Sand Point & Cold Bay. They’ll be uploaded next!

Thanks QFS!
Awesome trip report. Shame about the crew giving you trouble about filming, I hate when that happens.
Alaskan needs to train their crew better, or at least increase the small paychecks in order for their Mediocre service to improve
I understand the staff want privacy, but it’s not like they are going to record them
as a flight attendant myself for another carrier, i don't mind if folks record as long as it's not me since my airline does have rules against recording crew.
If the crew did not mind the recording then he could have recorded outside the window and get the towel that the crew gave out
Why does everyone rave about Alaska’s crew ? I find them to be rude compared to southwest and delta.
I’m sorry to hear the flight attendants were so rude to you, I would have thought they would be happy about you filming, giving the airline media coverage and providing the airline with a possible expanding clientele range, you can’t please them all, thank you for another fantastic trip report.
