Damn fine job getting up that wall and one bad ass sammi. Were over here in Vinton, we run 3 sammis one of which is under reconstruction bout to get modified with the trail gear rock slayer set up.
Nice ur ole hillbilly neighbor here. Little to ur east n west v. South Fayette co.. lol didn't know a hillbilly knew all that spelling and grammar. Me neither I was surprised myself lol. If ur ever down this way wheeling or passing through on a trail adventure look me up on ur videos . I'm subbed up. Around Charleston area outskirts. Get a Sammy jammy.get gray ghost out she's just 88 with good frame decent body new toy 3k carb and new mt 235/75/15 thunderer trax. Little mild 2" shackle lift. But it's like the enterprise. Goes where no one has gone before. Stay safe
No.It has an aftermarket billet aluminum replacement case that was called a "rock box". 6.5 gear set and 4.88 axle gears. In this video I was in second gear. 1.6 16v. Rock blocks are cool but hard to find and expensive when you do find one.
RCV shafts in the front. You notice I clutched it if I didn't make it.Had I slid off while still in the throttle it would have broke for sure. In 4 years I have broke one RCV inner and one cut and resplined rear shaft. The front is now 300m and I replaced the rear with a longfeild chromolly shaft.
Several stock front ones on 35s.RCV after the 40s.I broke one inner rcv stuffing the tire under a waterfall and one rear shaft during a 2-3 no lift upshift in some big rocks. Also broke the transfer case in half once. Its a pretty reliable setup.
@@ripnandtearing thanks man. I was unsure that they would hold with RCVs. Going to build a one seat buggy, 4 cil with toys and 40s. What it's a safe range of gearset ratio to not be braking pinions all the time?
The front is an 84 Toyota minitruck housing. The rear is a Sky Mfg offset Toyota housing they no longer build. Both have 4.88s,welded diffs, and RCV front axle shafts.
Dean Parent It has a modified sky mfg yj kit.Sits 1.5" lower and 2.5" stretch on both ends. The spring plates are drilled for another inch and I think it's at 92" WB. 1.6 16v with a Rock Block 6.5 case Toyota axles with 4.88s welded and RCV'S in the front.A Ruffstuff antiwrap bar.I lowered the dash and cage when I put the 40s on.Also has TG full hydro.Sorry no build thread.I have owned it ten years and it was sprung over Sami springs/axles and 33s when I bought it...and pretty straight.
