- Nathan, the Sales Manager at Kenton Equipment Company comparing a 2020 Mahindra 1635H with a Kioti CK3510SEH. We're going over specs, features, standard equipment, design differences, build quality, and pricing!
I find it interesting to read the comments. Personally I think you did a adequate presentation on both units. It's easy to be a armchair critic.
And as a retired CAT&CUMMINGS knuckle buster and small farm that had three diesel tractors and one gas plus a D6 CAT. I consider these little tractors food plot or off griders.
Granted you’re selling Kioti, but I thought you did a nice job actually pointing out some key differences. V Edy helpful.
I just looked at both of these yesterday. Great explanation! Really showed the differences. Thank you!
What l like about the Kioti "Deluxe CK3510SE " is how they "slaped a 6 gallon fuel can" on the back seat, choped off the clutch pedal; but still left only ONE BRAKE PEDAL ( 2 Brake pedals make a REAL Tractor), pluse the "Armor-plated " dangling hoses under the running board. The Mahandra's is fully equipped with TWO nice BRAKE PEDALS & a Clutch pedal, making it "tractor-worthy". The Mahandra's loader is missing amplifying bucket-linkage assembly 's, and loader arms are made out of solid "tissue paper" thin sheet metal& a "criminal" unicorn one leg "fall off system" Quick-fall off. Both of these units are PERFECT "home-loaner's Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
I'm not totally sure what you're getting at, but interesting observations!
@@kentonequipment4687 he is dissing particular features of both. He should have included a more suitable tractor to compare to
I guess I got lucky with my CK3510SE, Kioti slapped a 9 gallon fuel can on the back of my seat, left my clutch pedal (got the shuttle shift model), and left BOTH brake pedals on it! 🤣
What's crazy is that I'm right by the Kioti plant in NC and the Mahindras at the local dealers are a couple thousand cheaper than the base Kioti. Still considering both, though.
@38:45 - I have the CK3510SE. Mine came w/ the tool box mounted inboard on the ROPS. Less chance of it snagging there. Nice video. I wish I saw this 3 years ago when I was comparing these 2 models, but I ended up w/ the Kioti.
Kioti is a sweet tractor has the bells n whistles but couldn't get dealer around here to do finance on one actually 3 different brands went to Mahindra paid my 5000.00 dollars down got my 1626 tractor next day with loaded tires. Don't have any catalyst Don't have any problems picking up whatever I need to with whatever I have on 3 point or nothin on it. Buy I have a dealer that will take care of me after the sell not suggesting that ya'll won't but I'm in Missouri. Great review. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun
The dealer quality is always more important than the equipment IMO. Good luck and keep workin!
@@kentonequipment4687 Yep. That's the 1 really incontrovertible statement in this comparison. No matter how good the machine is something is going to eventually wear out or break and then your gear will be worse than useless until your dealer can deliver the required parts. 🤔😬
I thought about Mahindra but a while back I decided no and that was before I viewed this video, really liked the Kioti
Nice job on the comparison! I purchased the CK3510SE and so far, only have about 15 Hrs. of use. The only complaints I have are that the lights (switch) only have high beam and the switch is two (Hi/Lo) position. Also, mine did not come with the "hydraulic hose fixing spring", dealer stated that's just the way they come, that did not make me happy. Since I added a hydraulic rear top link, I removed the top link support and modified it for the hose(s) support. I considered the Mahindra tractors, but just heard of too many issues in regard to reliability and overall workmanship. Kubota modesl had that treadle pedal (*&^%)$$!! , and the dealer did not seem to want to be bothered with me. No John Deere dealers nearby and I don't like the J.D. proprietary implements or the aluminum rear end. Your excellent comparison indicates that I made the right choice. Agan, great video!! Thanks.
regen/def and exposed steering linkage. Lots to consider. Pros/cons of both if you look with a open viewpoint.
There's no DEF on any tractor under 75hp in the U.S. market.
Daedong is one of the largest steel producing companies in Asia, and they make ALL the steel that goes into a Kioti tractor, as well as making all parts for the entire line of tractors! This plus price sold me on a CK 4010se!
Thanks for the review. I've looked at a few reviews comparing the different manufactures of these size of tractors. What seems to be missing in these reviews is any disscusion on the 4 x 4. Any thought on that?
They both work basically the same way, and neither are very difficult to use, so I didn't have anything to specifically point out. Any input?
Very thorough overview. Thank you.
Do all Mahindra tractors not use a dpf? If not which ones don't thanks! I want more power but don't want to deal with a dpf. Thanks good video.
The majority of their products between 25-75hp have a DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) system in place of a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system. It's a different way to skin the same cat. A lot of their dealers will advertise "no emissions", which is disingenuous. It's a similar system.
I'm on the fence between CK2610 and a Branson (TYM) 2515. The Branson has higher lift capacity on both ends, but seems to have less standard equipment so everything I need would be an up-charge. Tym dealer is 2 hours away from the house and kioti is 30 minutes closer. Decisions decisions...
The dealer support is definitely going to be key. Branson made a very solid machine, but with the recent TYM buyout there's some weirdness going on with dealers/product line. I'd ask the dealer how they feel about the new products for sure!
You well not egret buying the Kioti trust me.
great video, im out of state, might just buy my tractor from you.
I usually suggest looking at your local dealer first, but if they can't provide what you're looking for give me a call!
Great video
Love the Kioti, but not a fan of the electric PTO. I just got rid of my John Deere w/electric PTO. Had all kinda trouble with it. Blown fuses, delayed PTO start up. Sometimes PTO wouldn't start. I'll never have another one.
It's been pretty reliable for us, but the base CK has the old school Live PTO w/clutch, so it's still an option!
Hey Dean! did you get something else? I know the JD had always given you issues. I had all kinds of issues with the blown fuses on the RK25. But I think I have solved that now. I wonder if it could have been the same issue. I just posted a new video in case you want to see it! Finally caught some beavers in KY! Take care my friend!
@@PeaceIntheValley hey Bryce. I did get rid of my J Deere. I actually traded back a few years from a 2018 to a 2012 model 35 HP New Holland. So far I really like it. I saw your new video, glad your making head way with the beavers.
Interesting I was just priced this summer a bobcat 2035 which basically a repainted kiote for 32k with loader
Wow. Did that have a cab?
@@kentonequipment4687 no
@@tyrrellroach5872 It seems like that pricing is pretty high. The Kioti CK3520H is $37,300 from us with loader and fluid in the tires!
Yes, Kioti bought out Bob Cat with a new color you paid for that white paint.
I have worked on both I would go with the Kioti but what about Branson . My old 2014 24 hp hst lifted more front and rear than both of these tractors just less thrills.
How does the Branson 2515 stack up to this ck2610?
Is the heap smaller because of design for the quick release?
Not many other manufacturers do this. The SSQA system is much shorter than 60", so there's no need to size the bucket specifically in the back to welt the mounting points to it.
Im not buying anything right this second just looking for something in this size and class of tractor so looking at them all. But mehindra bucket from what I have seen so far says they angle the sides so that you can see that front edge easier who knows if it actually helps any
It is a no brainer which tractor to purchase between the two.
DOC and DPF are nothing like one and other. I can cut my DOC off put on a straight pipe because there is zero interaction between the ECM and the DOC. Also Mitsubishi owns a good portion of Mahindra or the other way around. Its not like they are contracted out. There is a reason pre emission diesel trucks are worth so much.
Is it true that you can cut off the DOC without the motor throwing any codes? It needs no other modification? If that's the case, awesome. Either way we're talking about new machines unmodified. Modifying brings up a whole other conversation. The other points still stand!
@@kentonequipment4687 I agree and you may be correct in your opinions on these machines BUT to insinuate or suggest that DPF is somehow superior to a DOC only engine is very misleading. DOC only engines were used for many years until daddy government decided that new emission standards were needed. Then along came the DPF and all its problems. There is a reason that DPF engines are not suitable for long idling and low RPM. DOC does not "trap" anything the gases are passed over a catalyst and converted into CO2 and water. In a DPF particulate is trapped and burned during regeneration. In a DOC only engine if your DOC "goes bad" o'well you just produce higher emissions. If the DPF becomes plugged (which they do) your machine wont run.
Can you do a video on a ck2610se cab with a backhoe? We are in the market for one. Also how much for that little Kubota in the background?
What did the former owner of that Mahindra do to the bucket run into a concrete curb? Ripped the weld out. If he did that to the bucket what’s the rest of it like
He used it for a lot of dirt work. I'm sure he found it's limit, which is why he traded it in for bigger.
@@kentonequipment4687 No matter what sized machine you get there will always be something that juuusst outstrips its capabilities. 😉
Even someone with a D10 will eventually treat it like a D11! 😱🙄😁
I'd like to have seen a tym added to this comparison. There 3. Series most common is there t474 48hp. $27,000. So in the price point. They make there entire machine, more powerful in every aspect. Heavier 1000lbs more., loader reches higher. My old t264 compares closer to these.
We don't have a TYM dealer in the area, so i've never even seen a used one cross our lot. In my opinion TYM's biggest downfall is lack of dealers.
Yes, you buy at now good luck finding parts or dealer that works on them hear in Maine.
it's been a big problem@@kentonequipment4687
You seem to reach the pedals well, how tall are you ?
I'm 6'0 when i'm not a slouch.
Let’s assume I do see 3000hrs on my kioti what’s the cost on that dpf system
I just checked the part on this specific tractor, and if it did need replaced its about $3k. I assume the similar part on the Mahindra is similar replacement cost.
Awesome video. I was just at local dealer and looking at them both side to side is hard to find even one thing different when on site and dealer is with you etc. One note, the engine is Mitsubishi made on Mahindra. Not bad, because I used to have a Mitsubishi car and the engine was perfect for 100k.
Any modern motor should easily last longer than 100k.
I have 2 mahindras and neither have that tapered bucket , even so the amount of fill it holds is very negligable, My grease fittings on my newer one are on the outside also,
You probably have one in a different series. I'm glad they improved!
Never say CHEAPER! say LESS EXSPENSIVE!
I went kioti ck3510se over mahindra. Even with the mahindra dealer being closer to me. The deciding factors were the R14 tires coming installed on the kioti and loader lift capacity. If it weren’t for those features I would of went mahindra.
You can demand , what you want in mahendra
@@Sandy-b7j Yes, but you're going to pay extra money to get them/
No step on the right side?
A step can be added on the right side, but not if you get a third function kit as the valve assembly is tucked in there.
@@kentonequipment4687 I have a 3510SE and did put a right side step on it with a third function. Had to put a small notch
One of the things I don't like about Kioti is that the fuel tank is behind the seat making it difficult to hook up 3 pt implements because the fuel tank blocks the view.
I have concerns about parts and service when tractor shopping. One thing I wouldn’t buy an orange truck with orange wheels so why I buy a tractor that way? I think a red tractor with silver wheels is much more pleasant to look at so Mahindra wins that one ! lol
I would definitely buy an orange truck. To each their own I guess!
Now do L3301 gear vs CK3510 gear....
I've had an L2501 here but it was before we got into the TH-cam space. I'd love to do a comparison, but i'd probly to a CK3510se as it's closer in price to the L3301. Even the basic 3510 would be a great comparison though.
@@kentonequipment4687 I must have the only CK3510 gear on YT, I can live with that..... The only problem I have with kubota is the 3-point, top-link mount plate, is bolted to the back of trans case on ALL of their L sieries tractors.
Well 4 years ago on my 07 L3400, the top link that goes to my pto winch, it cracked my trans case from a hard pull. Now to fix it right the trans case needs to be replaced, a 6k repair job.
No one ever talks about top-link mount area on tractors, the trans case is a bad place for that. The top-link mount plate on Kioti is on the 3-point lift housing, a better location IMO, but the only issue I have on the CK series the top-link plate is kinda on the small side, I'm hopping it will hold up on my CK3510. but if it breaks least it wont break the trans case.........
@@job38four10 We were a Kubota dealer for 30 years before we had Kioti (for the last 20 years). I've heard stories of the first aluminum rear ends they started releasing in the 90's cracking open when implement drive shafts bottomed out on them or axles cracking off. Cast iron is the way to go!
@@kentonequipment4687 only the bx,b,& Lx's series have aluminum rear end transmission housings. ALL Kubota tractors above a BX series have DUAL BRAKE PEDALS like REAL TRACTORS should have. Then the "afterthought " backseat plastic "Jammed in & dangling" fuel tank is just plain goffy. IF KIOTI had 2 Brake pedals with ALL units & a "non-backseat" fuel tank they would be the pure winner over Kubota. The Kioti is above the presented Mahindra EXCEPT for the engine. The Kioti is a high-end SE series ,so many advantages with this particular rig.
Nice tractors
Thanks 👍
Mahindra owns Mitsubishi ag division so technically Mahindra does make that tractor.
Interesting to know. I wonder if they're made in India or Japan? Does Mahindra corporate make design decisions or Mitsubishi? What if that business relationship changes?
@@kentonequipment4687 Japan. The 1600 series is made in their Japan plant. 3600 series and up is made in their Indian plant. Mahindra and Kioti are great tractors. Kioti in my opinion has a lot of models that are better. The tractor that Kioti can't compete with in my opinion is the Mahindra 5100 series. Kioti beats Mahindra on a lot of models though.
As a mechanic for a Kioti dealership, l'll never get laid off..
I guess it's better than getting laid off because you can't get parts for the broken ones!
@@kentonequipment4687 Yeah no parts and no quality control.... Thats why l bought a Kubota.
Is that because Kioti has lots or problems and keeping you busy ?
@@koosh7299 Yes
@@bradjenkins932 you have experience working on other brands? I’m going nuts trying to find a new or used one that’s not a common junk box
Dpf & the computers controlling it are killing the diesel industry & is the main reason CAT stopped making engines. Don't care for the doc system either but would prefer it over the dpf.
Other then that i think the kioti is a better tractor. If you could talk kioti into building doc engines that would be awesome.
Great video,
Thank you.
Eh, the DOC engines are the same and have the same computers. It really is a decision between wanting a muffler filter that burns lower temp constantly or higher temp every 40 hours. They won't build DOC because the technology barely scrapes by EPA regs. The day the EPA moves the bar just a little will make the DOC system worthless here. I don't like it either, but it's where we're at.
@kentonequipment4687 i had to replace the complete def filter unit after a bad fuel injector/s was dumping excess fuel into the motor, which destroyed the def sytem completely. Bill was $19k. I think i could replace 3 or 4 catalytic type coverters. Also, I've been told the exhaust from a def unit stays airborne & has very fine particles that stick to your lungs. Were as breathing the exhaust of a non def truck mostly drops to the ground &, if breathed, is much better for your lungs??
I think we should clarify, we're talking about DPF (Diesel particulate filter) vs DOC (diesel oxidation catalyst), which are two different kind of burnoff style canisters. Neither of these tractors in question have DEF (Diesel exhaust fluid) systems. That's not required by EPA until you're above 74HP. @@jacknabox2158
@kentonequipment4687 The video i was commenting on was comparing the Mahindra with the doc system & a kioti with def. Don't know what tractors you're talking about?
Kioti has DPF, not DEF.@@jacknabox2158
You didn’t address hydraulic flow
Looks like Kioti has about 1gpm more
Seems biased, I sold JD for years and pretty much used all the same techniques to sell tractors against Kubota, New Holland, Mahindra ect...LS and Kioti weren't even a thing to consider.
Between these two I would rather buy the Mahindra for the engine and long term parts availability.
Not a fan of DPF (regen), DEF fluid. That's why I won't buy a new Deere and looking seriously at a new Mahindra.
Well no tractors below ~75hp require def and once you reach that point all brands use it
You can get your nice grease connecter on the Mahindra and not on the kiota
Fyi, Mahindra owns Mitsubishi agriculture.
Mahindra parts availability is total garbage. Customer service is worse than garbage. Save yourself a nightmare from which there is no escape. Don't buy a Mahindra.
Probably the most bias review I've ever watched. Obviously a Kioti dealer. Consistently using words like "Issue", "Problem", etc talking about Mahindra. Love my Mahindra. No DEF. I hear Kioti are always in the shop.
Yanmar
Great product. I wish there were more dealer and manufacturer support in the U.S.
If you sell one brand of course your going to be biased. This is a crappy biased report
Of course i'm biased, but I don't think the information presented here is biased. Could you give me some examples?
@kentonequipment4687 so by just saying your biased already the report is biased. Meaning you won't give a real and true report becuase your already leaning to one side. Your going to find more faults.
@@robertabreu2566 Go look at the two models yourself, and research the information. Then you can call it "crappy".
@@kentonequipment4687Don’t listen to that clown. Fan boy got his feelings hurt. Both are great tractors and both have pros and cons.
You won't be comparing to the Kubota because they're the same tractor as kioti
I'd love to do the comparison, but I don't currently have any current generation Kubota trades. They're not at all the same tractor. Kubota is made in an entirely different country, with none of the same parts. I'll have one soon enough and do a video comparison.
The LS tractor are better than both of them
LS makes a good machine, especially for the price. The issue I have is their small and jumbled dealer network.
Never heard of LS. What makes them better?
But look at the size and cost of LS tractor to get 16" front AG tires......
Wow, 1st time I've read this.LS seems like garbage from the things I've read.
