Yeah 100% Blackmore That soulful connection i feel it every time i hear it. He plays it so clear and clean every note is perfect and just rolls off his fingers i love it. Morse frankly waffles on and doesn't have that deep connection with the song i mean how could he he didnt write it . He is a great guitarist but this is not for him. Professional rivalry i will do it my way. I
Ritchie’s was and is the best. Has that heart wrenching feeling that’s just beautiful. Those bends were something else on this song. I can’t believe his ego though. He didn’t want it released on Machine Head. He felt it was too soft for that “hard rock” album. I’m just grateful he played and wrote it.
Hey man, i love the detail on the notes at 0:57 on e10 that you dont bend a whole step down again, but only about a half step (from 12 down to 11 instead of 10 again). i found this part always so special and you are the only one so far who did it like this
For a song on which Richie has done a solo, this won't be easy for me to say, but... If you want to hear the best solo for this song, go listen to Jeff Healey's take on it. Unparalleled!
B's is perfect. I mean the mood, the softness to the song. Morse's quick parts are totally redundant - just speed for speed - and contradict to the mood of the song.
Still I prefer the one by Ritchie Blackmore. It sounds more melodious and emotional. Truly, Ritchie Blackmore is in another level. He's undeniably one of the best guitarists in the world.
Blackmore had more feeling in it and had a good old deep purple tone in it. Morse had kinda modern tone in it what isnt that cool and it didnt fit in my opinion.
Ritchie’s solo is so much better, it’s an old school for every guitarist. Steve’s style is different, but he’s also a fantastic guitarist, and by the way, congratulations to Marco for the performance.
this is epic solo of Ritchie, no one comes close, Steve played 5 times more notes without the natural feel of Blackmore, yes Gillan is happy Ritchie is not there anymore , but I miss blackmore ( and Mr Jon Lord )
Thanks man! Yeah, I took the solo from the Live in Verona with Orchestra (2011)... The truth is I came up with this video just because I loved that Morse' solo and I wanted to learn it😄🎸
@@marcobaldimusic Thanks! Of course how it's played is brilliant, but at first I don't know if I was a fan of the shredding part. However upon re hearing it, the shredding creates a very interesting effect with the bending sound after. So now I'm really torn between which one I like more, they're such different but equally effective interpretations. (Beautiful tone on the Morse one, too :Q)
@@Sam-qc6sz Thanks!! Well, one thing to consider is that the backing track does not have the same energy and arrangement that a live performance with an orchestra has so... You know, in that situation Richie' solo would have been out of context, in fact Steve played awesome (as always). But you know, that's what the backing track is so I did this anyway because it was fun for me to learn the solos😄🎸
I quite like the Steve Morse one, it says something different I get the choice of the shredding up the scale, culminating in that bend I just wish that shredding part, while still shredded, would give more of a feeling of suffocation, a build up made more dramatic by mixed notes as opposed to just a relatively simple to distinguish scale
Of course the solo played by R. Blackmore is far better than every other solos but Ritchie never played it live and that's a shame. So it is impossible to compare.
Imagine if ritchie loves this song as much he loves mistreated or stargazer And for a moment imagine his pentas mixed to those dorian notes to create an oriental chillin song as he always did Fuuuck ritchie was a god and no one can make the purple lives again except him and john
Blackmore 's One Is full of good taste and says It all with few right notes played beautifully...Morse's seems he got to demonstrate how much notes and how fast he can play them together...absloutely BLACKMORE,also if he didn't like this Song🤣👍🎸
Ritchie's for sure. Steve's great but suffers with too many notes. There are some bootlegs of Satriani playing it with Purple and the solos are lovely (and fits the song better that Morse's) and reveals what a great fit he would have been.
When it comes to guitar skill ,the oldies are always nicer and soulful , imagine those day musicians don’t have that tech and reference, purely creativity and brain work, guitar cries after last century feeling lonely .
Blacmors solo-the best.Simple and wanderfool...
Yes. that ture.
Blackmore is a genious! absolutely unique guitarist
he was not he is
Ritchie all the way. Don't even ask!
Great playing.
Blackmore for sure. Has much more feeling and soul
Blackmore all the way
Blackmore... No doubt about it!
I find Blackmore's version more emotional and deep, just as the song is emotional.
Yeah he also wrote it😉
I totaly agree...for me in music sometimes less is more...in this case...black-more😅
Yeah 100% Blackmore
That soulful connection i feel it every time i hear it.

I
Morse. Blackmore's solo is so brief it barely registers, Morse's is what the song deserves.
@@ROOM-zq7du But sadly never played again
The Blackmore version is far superior. Absolutely no question about it.
Emm no sorry xD
Absolutely
absolutely Blackmore
Ritchie Blackmore with no doubt
BLACKMORE!!!!!!! A few notes but.... shivers!!! About Morse, I've never thought he's good for D.P. Never. Better Satriani. But true D.P. is Ritchie.
RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S SOOTHING AND WELL BLENDED SOLO MY FAVOURITE.WITHOUT THIS SOLO THE SONG SOUNDS INCOMPLETE.
Black-Mire. Everytime.
Both are excellent and heartfelt. I think Ritchie's is more human.
Blackmore's without a doubt. He hated the song though
Love you Ritchie
Absolutely Blackmore!👍
Great Job.. great player you are...
Ritchie Blackmore 👍❤️🥰👌🎵🏁
Blackie!❤️
really nice playing. Such a contrast. Both beautiful solos.
richie for ever
Blackmore's is no doubt. Morse's one is also a good solo but somehow it didn't go with the song. By the way both solo are played well.
Fantastic video and skill. 💜👌🎸
Blackmore forever!

im pretty sure everyone, and i mean everyone, plays it that way...
Always the simple emotional solo is more enphloance ans attractive .. therefore it's so appreciated your blackmore 👍☺️
For a song on which Richie has done a solo, this won't be easy for me to say, but...
If you want to hear the best solo for this song, go listen to Jeff Healey's take on it. Unparalleled!
Blackers for me
The best blackmore, always magic...
Just came across your interpretation. You really nailed it. The tone is just perfect. Would you share your signal path with me.
B's is perfect. I mean the mood, the softness to the song. Morse's quick parts are totally redundant - just speed for speed - and contradict to the mood of the song.
Blackmore heart , morse ice
Blackmore!!
Great Blackmore solo for a song he hated.
Really?.. I didn't know that.
Blackmore for sure
Blackmore of course..!!!
Of cos blackmore..emotional, soul of solo..
Grazie mille!! :)
Blackmore
Blackmore, it captures the soul
Still I prefer the one by Ritchie Blackmore. It sounds more melodious and emotional. Truly, Ritchie Blackmore is in another level. He's undeniably one of the best guitarists in the world.
❤❤❤เยี่ยม wow

Easy. Blackmore.

Blackmore💖
Blackmore's timeless...
blackmore for ever . feeling and soul .
AMAZING AMAZING
this is epic solo of Ritchie, no one comes close, Steve played 5 times more notes without the natural feel of Blackmore,

Are you kidding me? In this song Blackmore 's got one of the best solos in the fucking world

Richie “The Janitor” Blackmore - he’ll wipe the floor with just about anyone!
Blackmore’s solo is emotional and right for the song. Morse is just about showing off.
Is the Steve Morse solo from a performance or from what?
I can't seem to find it anywhere
Thanks, and great playing!

Blackmore ever
Blackmore all day long ❤️🎸
BLACKMORE FELLING, EL MEJOR GUITARRISTA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS !!!!
Sin duda el. Solo de blackmore es con mas feeling... Mejor ligado sus notas... Para mi es el mejor
Of course the solo played by R. Blackmore is far better than every other solos but Ritchie never played it live and that's a shame. So it is impossible to compare.
Mantap"☝👍👍👍👍
Morse is just not a sound of Deep Purple.
Blackmore !!!!!
blackmore fits very well.
Morse's solo is totally out of context.
How so?
@@Sam-qc6sz Clean your ears, asap!!!! 🎸
agree
Morse's solo is superb and does justice to the song.

And what about Joe Satriani’s version of a solo on this? He briefly played with DP
Brasil.
No comment …..Blackmore is just perfect…
beautiful
Blackmore!
Blackmore
I prefer the Morse version, but then again I am a David Gilmour fan too! Kinda reminds me of him..

Best version ever live at olimpya Steve Morse by far. That solo has everything, feeling, soul, a lot of techniques
Concordo plenamente. A melhor versão de when a blind Man cries é a do live at Olympia. Steve morse faz 2 solos incríveis!
Man !! I have no fuckin words for this is huge and massive
Ritchie rules 🎩🌹
