I wish you would do a video on how to get Serato to use an external Drive as the main memory. In other words I have an external drive with all my music, but Serato wont remember my cue points or BPMs. I have to analyze every time and start from Scratch. If all my music was on my mac it would remember everything as soon as I open up my Serato. I have a ton of music and do not want to put it all on my Mac. I bought my Mac brand new in 2014 from Best Buy and have also looked into just upgrading my memory on my mac but was told by the geek squad that I cant do that because the memory is integrated with the mother board. Not real sure what to do. I would like to start using Serato but for now I'm using VDJ 8 with a DDJ-SX-N which is a great software but I notice that there is a lag on VDJ when Scratching. as a matter of fact you sold me that controller. Anyways, I have ran into other people that have that same problem. Maybe you could help. Thanks Brotha!! Your videos are always so informative and some of the best on You tube.
Whats up Pancake! Typically this happens in Serato when you don't let it close properly. Somethings get saved while running activities such as loading, editing, but when you exit everything is saved to the drive that the file is in if if it does not reside in your Application drive. So make sure you exit the app and allow it to close properly.
to confirm you should see a folder on your external drive called _serato_ and it should update (check the modified date it will change) in addition to the actual track file residing in your drive because you have added new details such as ques, loops etc..in Serato.
All these setings for brake the platter set1 set 2 set3 set4 and many others, can be made manual by handmade on real time with the old Technics 1200 MK2, just need practice for what you want maybe slow stop or fast stop, take a look for an example here th-cam.com/video/_oONjYXNE8Q/w-d-xo.html
