    It's kinda help to hear someone with a deep voice to sing this song. I just realized it's not just the note, some singers make the note sound higher cuz of their voice. Yours feels comfortable.

      Pure Music nah man you can memorize a few songs on a certain scale but You will never be as skilled as a person who is naturally talented and mess up as soon as the scale is switched. I have tried teaching a lot of people so I can tell the sense of rhythm and music comes to you naturally. I never got trained in vocals by a professional but I've had everything down ever since I was 2.

      I respect your opinion but you are speaking from a personal experience. Check out this guy's first audition. th-cam.com/video/fHTiDHFeRwM/w-d-xo.html
      And here he is 3 years ago
      th-cam.com/video/fn8DzOcpQas/w-d-xo.html
      Also speaking about Ed Sheehan and natural talent

    • @JagsB20
      @JagsB20 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pure Music Ed Sheeran could sing . He wasn't tone deaf to begin with so he always had the talent and this guy's audition you linked me to could sing and he improved . He didn't learn to sing from scratch . So you can improve over the years but not learn to sing if you don't have a talent for it . I am really sorry because I don't want anyone to feel bad or be discouraged but harsh as it may sound it's the truth people don't talk about . If you have the knowledge of scales then there is a slight chance of you actually leaning to sing but then again not everyone with the knowledge of music become a vocalist . Many of them are great music composers , writers , etc . and I make sure to not expect a guitar solo from a pianist if you know what I mean .

    • @theoutsider9431
      @theoutsider9431 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      your point of view is sadly the one from a sadly frustrated person, and its funny that I heard the same from frustrated people too who thinks they know their experience is an absolute truth lol The voice is something that anybodycan work and improve, there is no such thing like talent, only hard work or some work, because not everybody has the same range, some people has a natural wider range and other ones wor to get a better one, simple, that is something any teacher or person with criteria knows. Voice is an instrument, and like any other it needs to be worked, nobody is born as a pianist, they work on the piano since childhood, the same with singers, some of them worked their voice since an early age and some people think they are naturally talented... and some start later in life. You know why people dont talk about what you are saying? because its not truth, simple, most of the people know already that voice is an instrument to work, not the magic of a natural talent ffs

    • @THEVOCALLEXICON
      @THEVOCALLEXICON  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The talking voice shows more around your chest voice, when you go up the voice thins out and the vocal cords vibrate faster because the resonance goes from your chest to your pharynx. This alters the tone slightly. \i couldn't hit such range several years ago until I began singing with technique. Watch this new series I just did, it will help you th-cam.com/video/hVK95C0oRyw/w-d-xo.html
      Also watch part 2 and 3 and if you have any further question don't hesitate to ask.

      Pooly Puff you can use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to compose/produce music. There are plenty of them but maybe the best are Logic Pro (only in Apple), FL Studio (every OS unless Apple) and Ableton Live (every OS). Hope that helps you. (I used FL Studio to make the remix I have in my channel).

    Hi, thanks for this video. Please watch Ed sing /watch?v=f6Cswdm601A at 1:11 Take me in to your loving arms. If Ed is mixing his voice then how does it sound so powerful? It sounds like hes belting to me. I think we need more information on belting and how to accomplish it. Like singing the chorus of Castle on the hill, or the song Dive :), that's whats so hard to duplicate when a lot of voice teachers teach transition to head voice when clearly that is not whats actually going on to sing like this. What are your thoughts? Thanks, I enjoyed your video :)

    • @THEVOCALLEXICON
      @THEVOCALLEXICON  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are welcome. You cannot achieve that sound by transitioning into head voice. He sure mixed his voice but with more edge added to it by tightening the muscles in the larynx. So when you first achieve a mix you can add more energy to it without yelling. This is achieved by adjusting your laryngeal and/or glottal configuration to produce that colour or powerful tone. So when you get that mix, at first it may sound not so powerful but practice making it edgier or louder without yelling more like compression.

    • @MCMIXING
      @MCMIXING 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the reply. For example with the song Dive, would you say he is mixing his voice in the chorus- "Dont call me baby"?
