    Are you a fan of airbnbs or do you prefer hotels? I am hearing that there is a law in Panama that prohibits short team rentals 45 days or less, i guess everyone is not heeding to it, for that reason I will not be sharing this direct link to the Airbnb. Rent at your own risk!

    Very nice walk very early in the morning. The church is CATEDRAL BASÍLICA SANTA MARÍA LA ANTIGUA a very old church 1700's they are still doing careful renovations to it. The park is Parque Santana. I born and grew up in the area many many years ago back them it was even more prestigious. The Presidency is right around the corner.

    Was the cost of the Airbnb reasonable? I’ve never rented one. I’m looking to secure short term rentals while in Panama.

    Any rental for less than 45 days is considered a short-term stay and is restricted exclusively to Panama City Under Law 80 of 2012, property owners can legally participate in the short-term rental market by partnering with hotel operators or authorized by the Panama Tourism Authority, without these even advertising it is illegal. Casco Viejo is considered and can offers these units as tourist destination. This ensures compliance with local laws and provides a seamless way for property owners to benefit from short-term rentals.

      ​@@Marysseasonedexpatlife Most Airbnb are private owned condos or small resorts as in the ones in Casco Viejo, therefore they pay the fee to be authorized by the Panama Tourism Authority. The law is actually for apartment building owners renting regular apartments the lease most be for 45 days or more, not for apartment owners like condos if you own the condo you can do as you please with board approval and all boar approve that because condos fees are not that cheap, lol. Some People buy multiple condos in the city to rent to the tourist population not only in Airbnb, these people are affluent professional people.
