Another YTer showed (you can test it for yourself) that washing the outside of the car adds no value, it's detailing the interior that makes a difference. But I wash them anyway just for aesthetics and because it's free and in the same location.
Once you have junkyard unlocked and a few thousand credits...McLaren junk parts. It doesn't matter if they are 10%. They will sell for thousands of credits. McLaren is very OP in the game but it is in the game.
I have read to look and buy car which have a battery: quick win by just charging.

Car panels in the scrapyard are usually at 1%, so no repairing there. The best car for restoration for me so far was the supra......suka
