Saroi Khangba | Ritual | Manipuri ritual of offerings made to the Tutelary Deities | Kshetri Prem

Manipuris are polytheists, and they are mainly Hindus who also worship their ancient deities and ancestors. Therefore, rituals are abundant which they perform in various ways and forms. The persons performing this ritual are called the maiba (he-shaman) and maibi (she-shaman). This particular ritual is called saroi khangba and is performed during the festival called the lai haraoba. The video was recorded in Agartala on ‎27 ‎December ‎2017.
