Chakma Traditional Dwelling Places and Outhouses.

Bamboo and the people of the great southeast asian massif are inseparable. Bamboo was our steel and source for many implements. I am not surprised to witness the Chakma's use of bamboo and mastery they have achieved over the centuries. The video was taken on 14 April 2024 at Machmara, Pecharthal of Unakoti District on the occasion of the 50th Bizu Festival which marks the Chakma New year.
