    Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant would absolutely live at the line in today's NBA. They would average 30 a game in their sleep. They're getting fouled (by today's standards) on every jump shot.

      That's because neither one of these MFers knew how to pick a shot to save their lives. They thought all Jordan did was put points in and that's all they had to do to be like him. Just keep shooting everything. Both of them were piss-poor shooters. AI never won a ring and Bryant would have ended with 2 if he hadn't played with the Jordan of his time at this age. 41-42% shooters don't win championships unless they're playing with Jordan.

He wasn't afraid to put his body on the line and hit that floor with dignity Everytime he went for a layup because he was so determined to get that ball in the basket. Iverson gets treated by a ragdoll by Shaq, and all iverson does, is attack the basket again. You will never see anybody who puts as much work in on the court as ai. Kobe knew his role and so did Shaq and that's why they won. Kobe played his game and picked his spots when they needed him to carry them. Very mature for his young age. You can see Westbrook struggling with being the second option some nights, where as kobe seemed to thrive.

Just watching the intensity, athletic ability and competitive drive of the NBA back then gives me chills but imagine being on one of those legendary teams during those times for me being the Lakers. The physicality and entire atmosphere of the game was so exciting to witness from beginning to end. I mean just look at those off the dribble going 90mph, in contact shots. You won't see any of these shots nowadays and if you did it would be a foul Everytime due to the league becoming so protective. when you watch games like these, tough, gritty and teeth clenching all the way through it makes you miss how it was. I feel like just being on the Lakers it would have been amazing to have participated with Kobe and Shaq in these SUPER COMPETITIVE games. I mean look at kobe after he hits a ridiculous shot! his face never changes, just as if to say "I knew it was going in". Then Shaq just power slamming in all kinds of contact, no fucks given! ***** well Iverson was 6.0 175lbs and was ridden with injuries. Know what that means..?? means he had to work twice if not thrice as hard as other superstars in the League that he embarrassed, humiliated and and broke in 48minutes on a nightly basis. Yes...he is the best because of his resiliency, dude is a man's man that was stuck in a body too little for his skillset. He is the most ELITE basketball player to ever play this game in terms of pure skill. Also Carmelo and Smith are on the ball players, they are not know for their distributing and are known and famous team killers, just look at the mess they are making in NY. Iverson is the more effective on ball, pound for pound player because of his distributing skills so they all cant co-exist in a team. So YES Iverson is the BEST in his time....!!! Kobe didnt have Shaq and vice versa Iverson would have single handedly destroyed the Lakers with the below average cast of role players he had. and lastly You have no analytical skill in basketball whatsoever, in short you dont know jackshit so stop acting like you do.

      Vladi48mir Thank You, and what I mean by a better team, is a better defensive and passing team, and maybe one OK scorer on his side. Iverson was a scorer, and when two scoreres mix, then the result may not end well. By a better team I mean Dikembe, and Igoudala and Camby on the same team as him @ the same time.

      ***** Nobody is getting what im saying. Has anyone heard of team chemistry? Iverson needs defensive all stars not offensive all stars on his team. Iverson - ring or not - he took a beating. Dont say Lebron or Durant worked as hard as he did to score 30+ points per game. Iverson gave up a full 8-9 inches and still did it. So if other players works as hard as AI did, they should be scoring 40+ points per game.

    2004 finals are the proof that defense wins championships. Iverson was great, but he didnt have much help from other players. The Pistons on the other hand( in 2004), had no superstars but had bunch of good and pretty good players and there was nothing Lakers could do. The bottom line is, whichever team had Shaq on their side would win 2001 finals, hence the Lakers dominance. Iverson was better than Kobe, but O Neal is the most dominant center ever and thats why the Lakers won the finals. If Iverson had Shaq, Philadephia would win without a doubt. But Iverson didnt have Shaq, heck, he didnt have anyone except Mutombo.

    • @sbh123yt
      @sbh123yt 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shaq got a lot of respect from the refs when Mutombo guard him. Take this into account. I don't know if the 76ers would take the finals without this respect, but the serious could be more equal.

    When you have no one to pass the ball too I think so. I'm sick and tired of all you people saying all a point guard has to do is run the offense. How many scoring point guards do we have today in the league. Who have to take over the game offensively. You got Damian Lilliard, D. Rose, Kyrie Irving, Stepen Curry, John Wall, hopefully J. Lin this year, Raymond Felton. The NBA has changed the point guard position has evolved from just facilitators, to now sorcerers, thanks to this man Allen Iverson

    When does J. Kidd really take over the game offensively. Like honestly. I know the point guards you listed are great point guards, however their not scoring point guards. They have their own style of play to it. Anyway D. Rose and Steph Curry are more of scoring guards. Yes at the same time they facilitate and run the offense. However, they usually focus more on their scoring. I bet both of them can go out of their way and average 10 11 assists a game if they chose. But why if you dont have too.

    I say the worst NBA Finals team was the '99 Knicks. They had no business being there, but they were and I wanted them to win. This Philly team wasn't that bad guys. They had a great coach. Iverson was unreal! They had size, depth, young defenders. It's Shaq & Kobe guys. Nobody was beating them. Remember Gm. 1 was their first and only loss in the playoffs that year.
