You have the best and most comprehensive 1:18th scale website in the world. And you explain the details in simple form with a selection that is universal. So, wear your badge proud "KING OF DIECAST" you've earned it. More importantly, ignore all the negative comments and keep producing your excellent videos.
Dude, at 19:36 you were asking what those glass flaps behind rear windows were and I realized you did not know much (anything?) about this car (as a real car) - you probably should have done a little homework before bothering to review it. Yes, CMC models can be impressive at first sight, but they are hit or miss. I personally own about 12, and with at least two, I had to return and exchange them FOUR times before I got an exemplar that I was satisfied with. In fact, out of 12, I think only twice I kept the models I received the first time around! If you were to ever consider another CMC model, my suggestion would be not to bother with unboxing video, but to inspect it properly before deciding if to keep it or exchange it. Another problem that tend to afflict CMC models is - their parts fall off - not right away, but several months later, as the glue dries out and those "noble" materials they use - for example metal for window surround, those parts retain their "springness" property and can snap off suddenly on its own!. I love CMC when they are expertly made - which in my experience is about one-in-four, with inconsistent quality dependent on who assembled it. There is a perfect model, but the next one from the same batch, assembled by another person will be a shoddy botched one! So trying to buy a CMC model is like buying a lottery ticket - you may win or you may loose, never know. This model looks good but with so many parts to brake, and such a price, it will be in stores for awhile - no rush to purchase it as it will not get sold out for years. Glad that yours in (largely) problem-free. Cheers!
I agree with you 100%. I own three of these Pullmans and two out of the three had to be sent back, CMC sent me replacements that were not much better. In my opinion, I think there was one drunk China dude assembling all of them, because issue with every Pullman that i purchased, complete Junk. CMC is not what it used to be. Cheers dude
So what if he didn’t know? I have many cmc model cars because I simply appreciate the beauty of classic car design. Collecting model cars doesn’t mean one should know everything about the car they are collecting 💀
19:36 Those tiny Windows on the back doors on the model are on the real life versions they are used to stop the wind messing up the hair of the rear seat passengers when the window is fully down and the car is driving
Don't be so hard on yourself! You did nothing incorrect opening that trunk. Nothing to press or anything. It appears something wasn't right with it from the factory. The trunk on my CMC Pullman opens smooth and never had an issue. I hope you returned this for a replacement. I bought the "Elvis" version simply because IMO Its the best color combo of all versions issued and it has the working sunroof. I have no fondness for Elvis, just the model
The small side windows inside the door is when the window are down you’re hair won’t get messy by the wind, it’s a real feature on all real Mercedes 600
Those little hinged windows attached to the rear edge of the rear door window are adjustable wind deflectors, ie you could roll down the rear window even at speed and those hinged glass panels will deflect any strong breezes out of the cabin so as not to muss one’s hair up!
Hey Marek - very nice, thank you! It looks like this hinge was installed under some angle to begin with - I'd definitely touch base with manufacturer. I hope you did! Good luck and enjoy!
you finally got a cmc damn you king of diecast i need one now expensive but worth it they'll always command big bucks how did you comtain yourself without going ballistic when the trunk hinge broke i would send it back tell them it was defective
Wawww. . I have the same but Sun Star. .. the CMC is a luxury. .. I did not a review in my channel yet.. but I will.. Nice video and Good job my friend
The car is an absolute work of art but realistically I can get 4 Kyoshos or Autoarts for that price. The interior features are amazing but the Phantom VII is similar for 1/4-1/3 of the price. Exterior-wise it looks like a stretched version of my $100 Norev 280 SE. Maybe one day I'll get it but not anytime soon. Congrats though.
We wanted also too view the: working sunroof, the tool Box in the trunk, the fold down armrest, the screw on flagpoles in the front maybe attach a flag. And how the seats work etc:) A view of the undercarriage and exhaust system etc. Are the window made of cloth material yes and can they adjust?
WoW! So you rated the model 10/10 all the way down! That's got to be a first, as there is always something not right however small. So $1000 well spent then, no disappointments in any areas of the Pullman. 👍 Cool, I'm glad to type this, well done CMC for attention to detail.
Congrats for your achivement! It's a big deal! As a comment, but not malitious, for example, Autoart Signature it's full of detailes ,wires, pipes ..shock absorbers, springs, they have removable wheels and hoods, and it have also a brochure, it is made also from hundreds of pieces hand asembled, and it have also serial numbers and certificate, and so on, for half of that price, and is not a toy! You are the king of diecast! you should know more! For example one of the CMC features is the opening fuel cap. Your model must have it, as well.
That is a shame the trunk hinge broke the first time you tried to open it! That should not happen on a $100 model let alone on a $1,000 one. I would definitely return it for a replacement. I wonder how this one compares to the 600 Pullman released by AutoArt back in the early part of the 2000's. They now sell for similar money.
Great review and I think the tiny window is to block the wind when the window is rolled down. Did you solve the trunk hinge issue? The only flaw I can see and this is just me, is the scale of the leather. The scale of the markings seems out of scale to the size. It looks like it would be better on a 1:12 scale vehicle.
Beautiful model, and great review! Sorry yours arrived faulty, I would have definitely asked for a replacement or repairs... I got the landaulet version. Have you experienced the Bauer Bugatti Royale? IMHO, these two are the pinnacle of scale model cars, im glad to have both!
Did you find out what you did wrong that you broke the model, or it is the factory defect. Please let me know, and I will make sure not to break it when I received mine
I like Kengfai. But since there is a CMC version, I would go for CMC. Kengfai is between CMC and Sunstar. It all depends on your budget. Sunstar is the cheapest, Kengfai in the middle and CMC on the top.
Only 2 minutes and he jumps to the unboxing. This is how others should do an unboxing video instead of talking nonstop for half the length of the video. I learned something from this model, customers had an option of whether to get the middle row seats as front facing foldaways or permanently fixed rear facing seats so passengers could hold meetings while the limo was moving. 19:00 - A quick explanation: the tilting panel behind the window is a noise deflector. This allowed the passengers to roll the windows down halfway and they tilted the panel so wind didn't blow into the cabin. It makes it easier for them to hear each other talk.
Hi external star what about the almost real bentley Mulsanne grand limousine black it is realased and I think you would like it very much because I am getting one
I am the same like you jusy want to collect state cars or limos, and hopefully if you happened to be in Manila the Philippines want to visit my collection please say so. Coz I’d loved to show them to you.
I've seen only two videos of you and I don't know whether to think that you have bad luck with scale models. In the 2 videos you had problems, the other one was the one who fell a wheel like that by itself without you even touching it. Both models are expensive and supposedly high-end. I would like to know if you made the pertinent claims and where it all ended.
@@ExternalStar It is inconceivable that they sell a product in that state. I found the wheel of the mercedes pulman autoart scandalous and the broken trunk of the CMC Mercedes Benz limo, this 1:12 Duesenberg exceeds any expectation of irritation that I could feel, I would have had a stroke from disgust. I am amazed at your ability to handle anger. You have video proof of the rear door breaking, you can send it to them and get a replacement. These things shouldnt break if you pay $1000 for it
This is a very historic automobile. Very exciting!

About 15 years ago, when Autoart first released their 600 Pullman, you could buy it for like 150 EUR. Those were awesome times
Imperial Diecast gotta miss those AUTOart times. 2005-2010
and it is proudly non-Made in China!

Not really. There ws a truck accident and many units, 90% stock of M200 ws destroyed in the fire. Hence very few shops got stock in Dec.
