    I live is Wisconsin, and I bought a BR800 C-E last month and have used it many times to clear off the walkways and porch. I am not comercial just love tools and am fortunate enough to have a property to explore landscapings best tools . I was looking at all major brands and had some difficulties finding them in stock but with a little effort and many youtube vids I settled on the BR800 and couldn't be happier. This yeah I spent 4 days doing leaf cleanup on my grass portion of my yard, and I actually cannot wait to bust this out when that season starts again. I use a blower for many reasons acorns, dog poop, wind rows, pine needles so it is a year round tool. I always hear people say PB 9010 all the way. I was going to buy it but when you hear it next to the BR800 and the fact that the PB is huge and has a tube so long that you can scrape the ground i'll go with the higher quality BR. If you are on the fence, and think man this is a lot of money, and it is. You really cannot go wrong with this blower in any BR800 configuration. Depending on the model you pick the weight will increase but I kid you not the BR800 C-E has backpack straps as good as my Pro backpacking gear and you will not really care about the beast on the back. PS I am not a Stihl fan boy. This was my first product from them besides the 2-in-1 chainsaw sharpener. I just like using quality equipment with great functionality.

      Very well said! ...you sound like my kinda' guy and we're "in the same boat" as it relates to the BR 800 CE's usefulness in getting stuff done faster & effectively year-round. Yeah, there are other blowers out there, but I wouldn't trade my Magnum for anything in the world.

    Just bought my first Stihl product this year. It's the BR 800x. I looked at the Husqvarna but just didn't like the handle assembly and tube. I've heard from everyone how loud the Echo is, so no. As soon as I put the BR on my back I knew this was the one. I love it! I have a major leaf issue and this has made short work of things. I hope it serves me well for many years. It won't be for lack of upkeep on my part if not.

    Been on the fence for a new blower recently. Was leaning towards a Husqvarna 580bt, but none are in stock anywhwere. Then started considering a Stihl 700 or 800, which weren't available anywhere either. Have had issues with both brands in the past, with saws. Decided to maybe opt for a Stihl blower with the 4 mix mellower tone, but was thinking the addition of mechanical moving parts has to absolutely rob some power and rpms. Happen to call the local ACE, after seeing no availability at any stores (via the website) and they just got in 4 blowers the same day i called (yesterday). They got 4 800's in, both variety. Opted for the X, no need for side pull nor the heavier adj tube. Did my yard leaves (sycamore, cherry & walnut) and was amazed how powerful the 800 is. Also enjoying the mellower exhaust sound. Coming from weaker bt150 and handheld gas ryobi, this thing is a phenomenal powerhouse.

    I run a lawn business in the northeast . Have a 600 and a 700, will buy an 800 when my 700 dies. I use regular gas with the Stihl 2 cycle oil. I abuse my blowers and they are tough!!! All of my Stihl equipment lasts more years than I keep track of and my dealer is number one. I wont use anything else.

      That’s awesome. It definitely helps when your fuel is never over a month old.

    Though I predominantly run Husqvarna equipment, I have used and own some Stihl's and they have always been great!

    I am a homeowner. Just bought one and will probably be running it not more than 10 hours per year. Do I really need to buy ethenol free gas or will regular gas be fine.

    When people say to go mid or premium grade fuel if non-ethanol isn't available, do they know the #1 'additive' to boost Octane rating in gasoline is..... Ethanol?
    By recommending mid or high grade gas, you're recommending people, on average, purchase gasoline with MORE ethanol than 87 or 89 octane.
    Just keep it simple and go non-ethanol 100% of the time.
    If you don't care about ethanol, by all means, spend more money on high-ethanol gas 🙄

    • @Carlsmower

      The lower the octane the higher the chance of pre-detonation, this hammers bearings and can cause piston ring issues. That is what we have found in our service shop.

    Why can't the air filter on stihl blowers be tooless access?

    • @Carlsmower
      @Carlsmower  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be a question for the engineers. That said on many of the Toolis systems I see more lost in broken parts than I do when it is accessed via a standard fastener like a screw.
