Really enjoy your videos. It's obvious you've so much more real-life experience than some of the other bricky channels. You're not focusing on mass production, and take pride in your work. Some great humour and tips and tricks that keep your videos really enjoyable.
Really enjoy these tips and tricks mate. You can tell you've been there and seen it all with brickwork, and it's good that your willing to pass it on to the next generation 👏👏
The double nail trick is genius! I nearly chocked on a Werther's Original when you showed that one. I was told by one young foreman that we don't have time to plumb up the perps. He then spent the next half an hour smashing the last brick of each course in with a brick hammer. You couldn't make it up.
I’m currently using reclaims that vary 30mm in length and 10mm in height, ballache but you have to get on with it! Too many bricklayers would just moan and give up
Cavity closers I put a piece of Dpc to outside of bkw then a piece of 30 mm celotex (cut off 8x4 sheet ) and then return the blocks in the old style a lot stronger for me all my jobs are private work you can then move the damp and tuck it in between window and reveal or up to the plaster board on your dot and dab 62 year old bricklayer .....
When I was an apprentice 87 or 88 we did a house which back then was £330 k . It was beautiful with a lot of internal face work . We each had a t square and ha to run a course then mark every perp for the next , took forever but it had perps like an arrow 👌🏼🧱👍🏼

Sounds like what my dad would say
My favourite was asking dad how to get out of this situation and he would always say “reverse the bond”
150mm cavity on my next extension!!! 100 mm celotex costing a fortune!! Mental money
6:06 helpful way for work! спасибо полезный совет!
One thing I've noticed about bricklaying is mark where your going not where you have come from

@@jims5394 Exactly mate, work to the tape and it will happen 👍

Well done mate 👍 what editing program or app do you use mate
I don't, I just film snippets and use a free video merger app to join them.

Shocked you still use hod carriers, we phased them out 40 years ago
It comes in handy sometimes, youngsters nowadays are to scared to pick one up, I take it you are Australian.
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 no from America
@@jamietwigg5152 I've seen recent vids of hods being used in America, bigger than the ones we use in the UK
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 must of just used it for the video, I do nothing but commercial work and haven't seen one in 30+ years
