Hockenheim Historic 2013 - Ricos Benz engine warm-up

In order to do some promotion for the NitrOlympX some Dragsters were brought to the Historic.
Once again I was in the pit area just the in the right moment as "Rico's Benz" was fired up for the engine warm-up.
This car was campaigned in the European "Pro Comp" championship (nowadays Top Methanol Funny Car) by Rico Anthes from 1986 til 1989 (this paintjob on the Mercedes body is from 1989) before he got his second "Rico's Benz" in 1990.
Rico Anthes then moved to Top Fuel in 1992, became the organisator of NitrOlympX for numerous years, was the first German European Top Fuel Champion, took the title "fastest German on four wheels" from Rudolf Caracciola when we went faster than 480 kmh in his Top Fuel Dragster and also had the first Top Fuel blowover in Europe at Santa Pod in 1993.
